3. Setup and Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure the lawn mower is turned off, the spark plug wire is disconnected, and the fuel tank is drained to prevent accidental starting or fuel spills. Always wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves and eye protection.
- Prepare the Mower: Disconnect the spark plug wire. Locate and drain the fuel tank. Place absorbent material under the carburetor area to catch any residual fuel.
- Remove Old Air Filter and Housing: Unclip or unscrew the air filter cover. Remove the old air filter element. Disconnect any hoses or linkages attached to the air filter housing and remove the housing.
- Remove Old Carburetor: Disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor. Carefully detach any throttle linkages or springs connected to the carburetor. Unscrew the mounting bolts that secure the carburetor to the engine. Remove the old carburetor and its gaskets.
- Install New Carburetor: Place the new gaskets in their correct positions. Mount the new Toobop carburetor onto the engine, ensuring it is properly aligned. Secure it with the mounting bolts, tightening them evenly.
- Connect Fuel Line and Linkages: Attach the new fuel pipe to the carburetor and secure it with the provided hose clamps. Reconnect all throttle linkages and springs to the new carburetor. Ensure all connections move freely without binding.
- Install New Air Filter: Insert the new air cleaner filter into the air filter housing. Reattach the air filter housing and secure the air filter cover.
- Install New Spark Plug: Remove the old spark plug using a spark plug wrench. Install the new spark plug, ensuring it is hand-tightened first, then tightened with a wrench to the manufacturer's specifications. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
- Refill Fuel: Refill the fuel tank with fresh, appropriate fuel for your lawn mower.

4. Operating Instructions
After successful installation of the Toobop Carburetor Kit, your lawn mower should be ready for operation. Refer to your original Toro lawn mower owner's manual for specific starting procedures, safety guidelines, and operational instructions. Ensure all connections are secure and there are no fuel leaks before attempting to start the engine.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance of your carburetor kit components will ensure consistent performance and extend the life of your lawn mower.
- Air Filter: Inspect the air filter regularly (e.g., every 25 operating hours or annually). Clean or replace the air filter if it appears dirty or clogged. A dirty air filter can restrict airflow, leading to reduced engine performance.
- Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug annually or every 50 operating hours. Clean any carbon deposits or replace if the electrode is worn or fouled. Ensure the gap is set correctly according to your mower's specifications.
- Fuel System: Periodically check the fuel pipe and hose clamps for cracks, leaks, or loose connections. Replace any damaged components immediately.
- Carburetor: While this kit provides a new carburetor, if issues arise, ensure all external linkages are free of debris and move smoothly. For internal cleaning or adjustments, it is recommended to consult a qualified service technician.
