4. Safety Instructions

5. Setup and Assembly

5.1 Assembly Steps

1. Unpack all components and verify against the package contents list.
2. Assemble the main planter box by attaching the side and end panels using the provided screws. Ensure all connections are secure.
3. Attach the four legs to the corners of the assembled planter box.
4. Secure the lower slatted shelf to the designated support beams on the legs.
5. Carefully place the protective liner inside the planter box, ensuring it covers all interior surfaces and extends slightly over the top edges to prevent soil contact with the wood.
6. Position the assembled raised bed in its desired location before filling with soil.

6. Operating and Usage

6.1 Filling the Planter

• Fill the planter with a high-quality potting mix suitable for your chosen plants.
• Ensure adequate drainage by adding a layer of gravel or broken pottery at the bottom of the liner before adding soil, if desired, though the liner itself provides some separation.

6.2 Planting

• Plant your desired herbs, flowers, or vegetables according to their specific spacing and depth requirements.
• Consider companion planting to maximize growth and deter pests.

6.3 Watering

• Water plants regularly, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged.
• The elevated design allows for better drainage and air circulation, reducing the risk of root rot.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Wood Care

• The acacia wood is treated with an oil finish for weather resistance. To maintain its appearance and protective qualities, reapply a suitable wood care oil annually or as needed, especially if exposed to harsh weather conditions.
• Clean the wooden surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

7.2 Liner Care

• The protective liner helps preserve the wood. Inspect it periodically for tears or damage. Replace if necessary to ensure continued protection.

7.3 General Care

• Remove weeds regularly to prevent competition for nutrients.

8.1 Water Accumulation

If water accumulates in the planter, ensure the drainage holes in the protective liner are clear. If the liner does not have pre-made holes, carefully create a few small holes at the bottom to allow excess water to escape.

8.2 Wood Discoloration/Deterioration
