4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Hollyland Pyro 7:
- Attach Antennas: Screw the two paddle antennas onto the designated ports on the top of the Pyro 7 unit.
- Power Connection: Connect the D-Tap to Locking DC Power Adapter Cable to the DC IN port (10-18V) on the side of the unit. Alternatively, use compatible NP-F batteries (not included) with the integrated battery plate.
- Video Input: Connect your camera's HDMI or SDI output to the corresponding HDMI IN or SDI IN port on the Pyro 7.
- Video Output (Optional): If you need to loop out the video signal to another monitor, connect an HDMI or SDI cable from the HDMI OUT/Loopout or SDI OUT/Loopout port.
- Audio Monitoring (Optional): Connect headphones to the 3.5mm Headset Port for audio monitoring.
- Power On: Press and hold the power button until the screen illuminates.

5.1. HollyOS Interface and Monitoring Tools
The Pyro 7 features an intuitive touch-controlled HollyOS interface. Swipe and tap to access various monitoring tools and settings. Key tools include:
- Waveform: Analyzes the luminance and chrominance levels of your video signal.
- Vectorscope: Displays the color information of your video signal.
- Histogram: Shows the distribution of tones in your image.
- Focus Assist: Highlights in-focus areas for precise focusing.
- Zebra Pattern: Indicates overexposed areas.
- False Color: Helps in setting proper exposure by displaying different exposure levels in distinct colors.
- 3D LUT: Supports 16/17/32/33/64/65 cube files for custom color grading.
- Image Overlay: Allows overlaying images for scene restoration or replication.
