4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The device requires 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included). To install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Powering On/Off

  • To power on: Press the READ button.
  • To power off: Press the OFF/CLEAR button and hold for approximately 3 seconds, or the device will automatically shut off after 20 seconds of inactivity (single measurement mode).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Single Distance Measurement

  1. Point the laser at the target.
  2. Press the READ button once. The measurement result will be displayed instantly.

5.2 Unit Conversion

To change the measurement unit (m/in/ft):

  • Press the Unit button repeatedly to cycle through meters (m), inches (in), and feet (ft).

5.3 Clearing Measurements

To clear the current measurement or return to the previous screen:

  • Press the OFF/CLEAR button briefly.

6. Calibration

The device supports auto-calibration for optimal accuracy. If you suspect the measurements are off, you can perform a calibration:
