3. Setup & Installation
The pemacom RV Backup Camera is designed for easy, install-free setup thanks to its solar power and strong magnetic base. This eliminates complex wiring and saves installation time.
3.1 Camera Installation
- Charge the Camera: Before first use, fully charge the camera using the provided Type-C USB cable. A full charge takes approximately 6 hours.
- Select Mounting Location: Choose a flat, metallic surface at the rear of your RV, trailer, or vehicle where the camera can have a clear view. Ensure the solar panel is exposed to sunlight for continuous charging.
- Attach Camera: The camera features super-strong samarium cobalt magnets for quick and secure attachment. Simply place the camera firmly on the chosen metallic surface. The soft rubber wrapping on the base protects your vehicle's paint.
- For Non-Metallic Surfaces: If your vehicle is made of aluminum, plastic, or fiberglass, a metal bracket (not included in standard package, contact support if needed) can be used to provide a magnetic mounting point. Secure the metal bracket first, then attach the camera.
- Adjust Camera Angle: The camera allows for 90° up/down adjustment to achieve the optimum wide viewing angle.
