1. Introduction

This ultra-thin 6-inch LED downlight offers advanced smart control features, including app control, voice control compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant, and a wide range of color and brightness options. This manual provides essential information for safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new lighting system.

2. Safety Instructions

• Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installation, removal, or maintenance.
• Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or in accordance with local electrical codes.
• Do not install this product with a dimmer switch. The smart light cannot be used with a dimmer.
• Ensure all electrical connections are secure and properly insulated.
• This product is designed for indoor use and is waterproof.
• Operate within the specified voltage (120 Volts AC).

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Physical Installation

1. Prepare the Ceiling: Use the provided template to mark and cut a 6-inch hole in the ceiling where you intend to install the light.
2. Wiring the Junction Box:
   • Open the junction box.
   • Connect the electrical wires from your ceiling to the corresponding wires inside the junction box (ground, hot, neutral). Ensure secure connections.
   • Close the junction box securely.
3. Connecting the Light: Plug the connector from the recessed light into the connector from the junction box.
4. Inserting the Light: Push the spring clips on the sides of the recessed light upwards. Insert the light into the prepared hole in the ceiling. Once the light is in place, release the clips to secure it. The foam padding around the light will help seal the hole.

4.2 App Intelligent Control Setup (Tuya Smart)

1. Download App: Download the "Tuya Smart" app from your smartphone's app store (App Store or Google Play).
2. Power On: Connect the power supply to the lights and turn them on.
3. Connect Gateway: The system includes a gateway for enhanced stability.
   • Plug in the gateway.
   • Press and hold the button on the gateway until the red light flashes.
   • Open the Tuya Smart app. The app should automatically search for and connect to the gateway and the embedded LED lights.
   • Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network and Bluetooth is enabled.
   • Follow the in-app instructions to add devices. Tap "Bluetooth Gateway," then "Add device," select all detected POWERASIA lights, and confirm.
4. Initial Pairing: Follow the in-app instructions to pair the recessed panel lights. The lights will flash to indicate successful pairing.

4.3 Remote Control Pairing

1. Connect Power: Connect the power supply to the lights, then turn it off and on.
2. Initiate Pairing: Press and hold buttons "A+B" or "A" or "B" on the remote control for 5 seconds.
3. Confirm Pairing: When the light flashes, pairing is successful.
4. Note: The remote control can be used directly without connecting to WiFi. Before pairing and unpairing, you need to turn the power switch off and then on.

5.1 App Control Features

• Color & Brightness: Choose from 16 million colors, including warm white (2700K) to cool white (6000K). Adjust brightness from 5% to 100%.
• Scene Modes: Select from 8 preset scene modes or customize your own.
• Music & Mic Sync: Lights can change color and rhythm in sync with music played through your phone's microphone.
• Group Control: Control multiple recessed lights simultaneously by grouping them in the app.
• Timer & Schedule: Set schedules for lights to turn on/off automatically at specific times.
