2. Safety Information

3.1 Unboxing and Component Identification
Carefully unpack all components and verify against the packing list. Identify the main machine body, controller box, screw box, and accessory tools.
3.2 Assembly Steps
- Base Frame Assembly: Connect the frame components using the provided screws and tools. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Gantry Installation: Mount the gantry assembly onto the base frame. Pay attention to the orientation of the X and Y axes.
- Spindle Mounting: Install the 400W spindle into its designated clamp on the Z-axis. Ensure it is firmly secured. The machine includes a 65mm spindle clamp.
- Wiring Connections: Connect the stepper motors, limit switches, and spindle to the controller box according to the wiring diagram provided in the separate quick start guide.
- Controller Box Placement: Position the controller box in a stable location near the machine.
- Initial Power-Up: Connect the power supply to the controller box and then to a suitable power outlet. Do not connect the machine to power until all assembly steps are complete and verified.
4. Operation
This section outlines the basic operational procedures for your Masuter 3S CNC machine.
4.1 Controller Box
The newly designed controller box features shortcut buttons for common operations and a self-resetting E-stop button. Pressing the E-stop button will halt all machine movement and trigger an alarm in the software. It will pop up by itself, requiring no twisting to reset.

4.2 Spindle Operation
The Masuter 3S is equipped with a 400W spindle, capable of engraving and cutting various materials, including soft metals like aluminum. Ensure the correct bit is installed and secured before operation.

4.3 Motor System
The machine utilizes NEMA23-76 closed-loop stepper motors, providing 2.2 Nm of torque and a rapid moving speed of up to 10,000 mm/min. Closed-loop motors offer improved precision and step-loss control compared to open-loop systems.

4.4 Work Area and Extensions
The standard engraving area is 15.75" x 15.75" x 3.74" (400 x 400 x 95mm). An X-axis extension kit (sold separately) is available to expand the work area for larger projects.

4.5 Software
The Masuter 3S is based on GRBL, a fully open-source firmware. It is compatible with various CNC control software, including GRBL Control, LightBurn (for laser modules), and other G-code senders.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your CNC machine.
- Cleaning: Regularly clean dust and debris from the machine, especially around the lead screws, linear rails, and motors. The controller box is designed to be dust-proof for easy cleaning.

- Inaccurate Carvings/Engravings:
- Ensure the workpiece is firmly secured.

- Verify belt tension and condition.
- Calibrate steps per mm in your software if necessary.
- Software Connection Issues:
- Ensure the correct COM port is selected in your software.
