4.1 How to Measure

  • Window Depth (D) must be greater than 2.4 inches (6cm).
  • Window Width: Record the smallest measurement of the three width points (W1, W2, W3).
  • Window Height: Record the largest measurement of the two height points (H1, H2).
  • Blinds Width (W) = Window Width - 0.2 inches (security gap).
• Outside Mount:
  • We recommend adding 6 inches to both window width and height to minimize light leakage.
  • Blinds Width = Window Width + 6 inches.
  • Blinds Height = Window Height + 6 inches.

4.2 Mounting the Shades

Detailed mounting instructions will vary based on your specific window type and chosen mount (inside or outside). Generally, the process involves:

1. Marking the drill holes for the mounting brackets according to your measurements.
2. Drilling pilot holes and inserting wall anchors if necessary.
3. Securing the mounting brackets with screws.

5.2 Remote Control Pairing

To pair the remote control with your shades:

1. Ensure the shade motor is powered on.
2. Press and hold the reset button on the motor until the motor jogs twice. Release the button. The blue light on the motor will flash.
3. On the remote control, press the pairing button (refer to your remote's specific instructions for button location). The motor will jog once to confirm successful pairing.

Steps for app connection:

1. Download the Smart Life app from your device's app store.
2. Open the app and tap 'Add Device'.

4. The app should discover the device. Tap 'Add' and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the addition.
5. You can rename the device (e.g., "Bedroom Shade") for easier identification.

5.4 Setting Limits (via App)

The upper and lower limits are typically set by default. You can adjust these or set a favorite position using the Smart Life app:

1. In the Smart Life app, navigate to your shade's control interface.
2. Tap on 'Limits Setting'.
3. Upper Limit: Use the up/down arrows to position the shade at your desired upper limit. Tap 'Confirm' to save.
4. Lower Limit: Use the up/down arrows to position the shade at your desired lower limit. Tap 'Confirm' to save.
