1. Product Overview

The LUCKY TIME Electronic Basketball Scoreboard is a versatile digital scoreboard designed for various sports games, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, table tennis, and hockey. It features clear digital displays for score, time, period, ball possession, and bonus, ensuring high visibility up to 70 feet. This portable scoreboard is equipped with a 2.4G remote control for intuitive operation and can be powered by rechargeable batteries or a Type-C connection.

2. Setup and Installation

Before using your scoreboard, ensure it is properly set up and powered. The scoreboard offers multiple installation options to suit your needs.

2.1 Powering the Scoreboard

The scoreboard can be powered in two ways:

  • Rechargeable Batteries: The scoreboard is designed to be powered by high-capacity rechargeable batteries (not included). Ensure you use BUTTON TOP batteries. A full charge takes approximately 5 hours and provides up to 11 hours of usage time.
  • Type-C Plug-in Use: For continuous operation, connect the scoreboard using a Type-C charger (included).

Important: Do not charge the scoreboard using a computer USB port or a fast-charging cable, as this may damage the device.

2.2 Installation Methods

The scoreboard comes with accessories for wall mounting and a tabletop bracket. A convenient quick-folding tripod is available for separate purchase.

  • Wall Mounted: Use the provided wall mounting accessories (screws and anchors) to securely attach the scoreboard to a wall.
  • Desktop Stand: Utilize the included tabletop bracket for stable placement on a flat surface, such as a table or desk.
  • Tripod (Sold Separately): For portable and flexible placement, the scoreboard can be mounted on a compatible tripod.

3. Operating Instructions

The scoreboard is operated using the included 2.4G remote control, offering intuitive and sensitive control within a 360° range up to 98 feet.

3.1 Remote Control Functions

The remote control allows you to manage all scoreboard functions:

  • Timer: Adjust game time (00:00-99:59).
  • Score: Update scores for Home and Guest teams (0-199).
  • Period: Change the current game period (0-9).
  • Possession & Bonus: Toggle ball possession indicators and bonus lights.
  • Buzzer: Activate the buzzer for game events.
  • Brightness: Adjust the display brightness with 5 available levels.

3.2 Display Visibility

The scoreboard features 3-inch digits for score and timer, and 1.8-inch digits for the period, ensuring clear visibility up to 70 feet. The bright LED display is suitable for various outdoor sports environments.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life of your scoreboard.

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the scoreboard, gently wipe the display and casing with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the electronic components and display surface.

4.2 Battery Care

If using rechargeable batteries, ensure they are charged regularly. Store the scoreboard in a cool, dry place when not in use, especially for extended periods, to preserve battery life. If the scoreboard will not be used for a long time, it is recommended to remove the batteries.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your scoreboard, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Ensure a clear line of sight to the scoreboard.
  • Move closer to the scoreboard (within 98 feet).
Display is dim or difficult to see in bright conditions.
  • Brightness setting is too low.
  • Excessive direct sunlight.
  • Increase the brightness level using the remote control.
  • Reposition the scoreboard to reduce direct sunlight exposure if possible.
Buzzer is not sounding.
  • Buzzer function not activated.
  • Volume setting is too low.
  • Ensure the buzzer function is activated via the remote control.
  • Check the volume setting (if adjustable, otherwise ensure it's not muted).
