2. Safety Information

5. Setup and Installation

The SOTTLOT solar light is designed for easy, wire-free installation. Follow these steps:

1. Choose a Location: Select an outdoor location that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily to ensure optimal charging. Ideal spots include porches, patios, fences, decks, garages, or gates.
2. Mark Drilling Points: Hold the light unit against the desired mounting surface and mark the positions for the mounting screws.
3. Drill Holes: Use an appropriate drill bit to drill pilot holes at the marked points. If installing into masonry or concrete, insert the provided wall anchors.
4. Mount the Light: Align the light unit with the drilled holes and secure it firmly using the provided screws.
5. Adjust Lamp Heads: Once mounted, adjust the two lamp heads to direct light as needed. Each head can be adjusted up to 35 degrees.

6. Operating Instructions

The solar light operates automatically at dusk and offers four distinct lighting modes.

6.1. Turning On/Off

To turn the solar light ON or OFF, press and hold the center of the ON/OFF button for more than 1.5 seconds. The light will indicate its status.

6.2. Changing Lighting Modes

Once the light is ON, quickly tap the center of the ON/OFF button to cycle through the different lighting modes. Continue tapping until you reach your desired mode.

• Mode 1 (M1): 20% brightness until dawn.
• Mode 2 (M2): Stays at 10% low brightness all night and turns to 100% brightness for 30 seconds when motion is detected, then returns to 10% until dawn.
• Mode 3 (M3): Light is off when there is no movement. Turns to 100% brightness for 30 seconds when movement is detected, then turns off until dawn.
• Mode 4 (M4): 100% high light until dawn.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SOTTLOT solar light, consider the following maintenance tips:

• Clean the Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
• Clear Obstructions: Ensure no trees, bushes, or other objects are blocking direct sunlight from reaching the solar panel, especially during peak daylight hours.
• Seasonal Adjustments: In areas with less sunlight during winter months, the light's performance may be reduced. Ensure the panel is clear of snow or ice.
