Setup

1. Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the 1350mAh battery, ensuring the correct orientation.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  4. Connect the camera to a power source using the provided USB cable to charge the battery. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
  5. A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours. The indicator light will change or turn off when charging is complete.

2. Micro SD Card Installation

The camera supports Micro SD cards up to 128GB. A 64GB SD card is included.

  1. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert the Micro SD card with the gold contacts facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in until it clicks, then release. The card will spring out.
  4. Important: Format the Micro SD card in the camera before first use to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. Navigate to Settings > Format SD Card.

3. Attaching the Waterproof Housing

For underwater use or protection against dust and impact, use the included waterproof housing.

  1. Ensure the camera is clean and dry before placing it into the housing.
  2. Open the latch on the top of the waterproof housing.
  3. Carefully insert the camera into the housing, ensuring it fits snugly.
  4. Close the latch firmly until it clicks, creating a watertight seal.
  5. Pre-dive Check: Before submerging the camera with the housing, perform a leak test by placing the empty housing in water for a few minutes to ensure no water enters.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power/Mode button (usually on the front or top) for 3 seconds.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for 3 seconds.

2. Navigating the Interface

The X80PRO features a responsive touch screen for easy navigation. You can also use the physical buttons.

  • Touch Screen: Swipe left/right to switch between video, photo, and playback modes. Tap icons to access settings or change options.

  • Shutter/OK Button: Press to start/stop recording or take a photo. In menus, it acts as an "OK" button.

3. Recording Video

  1. Ensure the camera is in Video Mode (indicated by a video camera icon).
  2. Press the Shutter/OK button to start recording. A red recording indicator will flash.
  3. Press the Shutter/OK button again to stop recording.

4. Taking Photos

  1. Switch to Photo Mode (indicated by a camera icon).
  2. Press the Shutter/OK button to take a photo.

5. Pre-Rec Mode

This feature saves 5 seconds of video before you press the shutter button, ideal for capturing unexpected moments.

  • Enable Pre-Rec Mode in the camera settings.
