Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular Cleaning

Dealing with Scale Buildup

Mineral deposits (scale) can accumulate inside the kettle over time, especially in hard water areas. To remove scale:

  1. Lemon Juice Method: Fill the kettle with water and add a few tablespoons of lemon juice or white vinegar.
  2. Boil and Soak: Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it soak for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
  3. Rinse and Wipe: Discard the solution, then wipe the interior with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water to remove any residue.
