3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

1. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the XP-PEN Magic Drawing Pad.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to the included power adapter.
3. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
4. The device will indicate charging status on the screen. For optimal battery life, fully charge the device before first use.

3.2 Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side or top edge) until the XP-PEN logo appears on the screen.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until a power-off menu appears on the screen. Select 'Power Off' to shut down the device. A short press will typically put the device to sleep or wake it up.

4.1 Navigating Android 12

The Magic Drawing Pad runs on Android 12, providing a familiar and intuitive user interface. You can navigate using touch gestures or the stylus:

• Swipe: Move between home screens, scroll through content.
• Tap: Select items, open apps, confirm actions.
• Pinch-to-zoom: Enlarge or reduce content in supported applications.
• Stylus: Use the stylus for precise selection, drawing, and writing.

4.2 Drawing and Creative Applications

The Magic Drawing Pad is optimized for digital art. The 12.2-inch 2K display (2160x1440 resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, 109% sRGB, 16.77 million colors) provides a vibrant and accurate canvas. The X3 Pro Stylus with 16384 pressure levels and tilt support allows for fine control over brush strokes and line weight.

The device comes with iBis Paint X pre-installed, and a 3-month membership is available upon activation. You can download other creative applications from the Google Play Store, such as Sketchbook, Clip Studio Paint, ArtstudioPro, Concepts, Infinite Painter, Nomad Sculpt, and Tayasui Sketches.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Device

• Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and body of the tablet.
