3. Compatibility

Important: This remote control is compatible ONLY with garage door openers manufactured between 1993 and 1997 that feature a GREEN smart/learn button.

Verify the presence of a GREEN learn button on the power head (motor unit) of your garage door opener, typically located on the back or side panel. If your opener does not have a green learn button, this remote will not function.

Follow these steps to program your IQMatePro Mini Remote Control to your compatible garage door opener. Ensure you have access to your garage door opener's motor unit.

  1. Locate the Learn Button: Find the Smart/Learn button on the back of the motor unit attached to your garage ceiling. This button MUST be Green.
  2. Initiate Programming: Press and immediately release the Learn button on the motor unit. The Learn LED light will glow steadily for 30 seconds or less.
  3. Program Remote: Within 30 seconds of pressing the Learn button on the motor unit, press and hold the desired button on your IQMatePro Mini Remote Control.
  4. Confirm Programming: Release the button on the remote control when the garage door opener lights flash or two clicks are heard. This indicates successful programming.
  5. Test Remote: Press the programmed button on your remote control to test its operation.

If you wish to program additional garage door openers or use the other buttons on the remote, repeat steps 1-4 for each additional opener or button.

5. Operating Instructions

Once programmed, operating your garage door opener with the IQMatePro Mini Remote Control is straightforward.

  • Open/Close: Press the programmed button on the remote control once to open or close your garage door.
  • Stop: Press the button again while the door is in motion to stop it.
  • Multiple Doors: If you have programmed multiple buttons for different garage doors, press the corresponding button for the door you wish to operate.

6.1 Battery Replacement

The remote control uses an Alkaline battery. When the remote's range decreases significantly or it stops responding, it may be time to replace the battery.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.

  4. Insert a new Alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
