2. Important Safety Instructions

4. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup of your garment steamer:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Assemble the Pole: Insert the adjustable pole into the designated slot on the main unit. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  3. Attach the Hanger: Place the hanger attachment onto the top of the adjustable pole.
  4. Connect the Hose: Securely attach the steam hose to the steam outlet on the main unit. Ensure it is tightly fastened to prevent leaks.
  5. Fill the Water Tank: Remove the 1.35L transparent water tank from the main unit. Open the cap and fill it with distilled or de-mineralized water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line. Close the cap securely and place the water tank back into the main unit.

5. Operating Instructions

Operating your Yabano Garment Steamer is straightforward:

  1. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Select Steam Level: Turn the control knob to select the desired steam level based on your fabric type. The steamer offers 11 different settings for various textiles, including Silk, Fibroid, Woolen Cloth, Felt, Sackscloth, and Cotton.
  3. Preheating: The steamer will begin to preheat. It takes approximately 10 seconds to reach operating temperature.
  4. Begin Steaming: Once steam is consistently emitted from the nozzle, hang your garment on the hanger attachment. Hold the steam nozzle a few inches away from the fabric and move it slowly up and down the garment. For stubborn wrinkles, gently press the nozzle against the fabric.
  5. Continuous Use: The 1.35L water tank allows for up to 45 minutes of continuous steaming.
  6. Power Off: When finished, turn the control knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the steamer from the outlet.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your steamer:

  • Empty Water Tank: After each use, or when the steamer has cooled, remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the steamer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits may build up, especially if tap water is used. To descale, mix equal parts white vinegar and distilled water in the tank.
