2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

The Traxxas Rustler 4X4 VXL requires a Lithium-Ion Polymer (LiPo) battery for operation, which is not included with the vehicle. A compatible charger is also required.

  1. Install Battery: Open the battery compartment on the vehicle. Carefully insert the charged LiPo battery, ensuring correct polarity. Secure the battery compartment cover.
  2. Charge Battery: Follow the instructions provided with your LiPo battery and charger to fully charge the battery before first use. Always use a charger compatible with LiPo batteries and never leave charging batteries unattended.
