2. Getting Started: Setup

Before using your Duckdik Arizona translator, it is essential to perform the initial setup.

2.1 Initial Wi-Fi Connection

For the first-time setup and to download offline language packs, the device requires an internet connection.

  1. Power On: Press and hold the power button on the side of the device until the screen illuminates.
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi: Navigate to the Wi-Fi settings on the device. Select a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Important: The device requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection for initial setup and language downloads. It will not be able to download languages if connected to a 5 GHz network.
  3. Download Languages: Once connected, proceed to the language download section to acquire the necessary offline language packages.

The Duckdik Arizona comes with a built-in rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery. Use the included charging cable to charge the device.

Translation is incomplete or inaccurate (e.g., only a part or single word translated).
  • Speak clearly and at a moderate pace.
  • Ensure there is minimal background noise.
  • Keep the device microphone close to the speaker.
  • For complex or very long sentences, try breaking them into shorter phrases.
  • Verify that the correct source and target languages are selected.
Device not turning on or charging.Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the device and the power source. Try a different USB port or power adapter. If the battery is completely drained, it may take a few minutes for the charging indicator to appear.
