Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Hikenture Extra Thick Double Self Inflating Sleeping Pad. This manual provides essential instructions for the proper setup, use, maintenance, and storage of your sleeping pad to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
This sleeping pad is designed for comfort and durability, featuring a 4-inch thick foam layer and a high R-Value of 9.5 for 4-season use. Its spacious 80"x52" dimensions accommodate two people comfortably, making it ideal for camping, car camping, or as a guest bed.
Setup and Inflation
- Unpack the Sleeping Pad: Remove the sleeping pad from its carry bag and unroll it on a flat surface.
- Open the Valve: Locate the patented 2-way valve on the side of the pad. Unscrew the cap and rotate the inner valve to the "INFLATE" side (typically indicated by an arrow or text).
- Allow Self-Inflation: The pad will begin to self-inflate. Allow 1-2 minutes for it to inflate to approximately 70% of its capacity. Note: On first use or after prolonged storage in a compressed state, the pad may take longer to self-inflate.
- Achieve Desired Firmness (with Pump Sack): For additional firmness, connect the included pump sack to the valve. Capture air by opening the pump sack, then roll or press the sack to push air into the pad. Repeat this process 2-4 times until your desired firmness is reached.
- Close the Valve: Once inflated to your preference, rotate the inner valve to the closed position and securely screw the cap back on to prevent air leakage.

Operating and Usage
- Comfort: The 4-inch thick soft foam layer provides excellent support for side, back, or stomach sleepers. The polyester surface is designed for a gentle feel and minimal noise.
- All-Season Use: With a high R-Value of 9.5, this mattress offers ample insulation and warmth, making it suitable for 4-season camping.
- Spacious Design: The 80"x52" double size is wider and longer than many standard camping mats, allowing for comfortable movement and relaxation.

Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your sleeping pad.
- Cleaning: Wipe the surface with a wet and/or soapy cloth. Use mild, non-detergent soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Drying: Ensure the pad is completely dry before storing to prevent mold or mildew.
- Storage: Store the pad in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Deflation and Storage
- Open the Valve for Deflation: Unscrew the cap and rotate the inner valve to the "DEFLATE" side. The valve is designed to prevent air from re-entering, making deflation easier.
- Roll and Compress: Starting from the end opposite the valve, tightly roll the sleeping pad to push out the air. You may need to kneel or apply pressure to help expel air.
- Secure with Straps: Once deflated and rolled, use the included Velcro straps to secure the pad tightly.
- Store in Carry Bag: Place the rolled and secured pad into the provided carry bag. The bag features a large top opening for easy packing.

Troubleshooting
- Puncture Repair: In the event of a puncture, use the included repair patch kit to seal the leak. Follow the instructions provided with the repair kit for best results.
- Slow Self-Inflation: If the pad inflates slowly on first use, manually assist by blowing a few breaths into the valve or using the pump sack to help expand the foam.
