- Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebars to the stem, ensuring they are centered and tightened securely.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Ensure they are fully tightened.
- Seat Post Adjustment: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the seat height to a comfortable riding position. Secure the quick-release lever firmly.
- Battery Installation: Insert the fully charged battery into its designated slot on the frame. Ensure it clicks into place securely.
- Pre-Ride Check: Before your first ride, double-check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases to ensure they are properly tightened. Verify tire pressure and brake function.
4. Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off:
- To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the LCD display for a few seconds.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.
Working Modes:
Your electric bike offers three working modes:
- Pedal Assist Mode: This mode provides electric assistance as you pedal. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to select from three levels of pedal assist. Higher levels provide more assistance.
- Throttle Mode: Engage the throttle (typically a twist grip on the handlebar) to propel the bike without pedaling. This mode is ideal for effortless cruising.
- Normal Bicycle Mode: With the power off, the bike functions as a traditional bicycle, relying solely on your pedaling power.
LCD Display Functions:
The LCD display provides essential riding information:
- Battery Level: Indicates the remaining battery charge.
- Current Speed: Shows your real-time riding speed.
- Total Mileage: Displays the accumulated distance traveled.
- Assist Level: Shows the current pedal assist level (0-3).
Gear System Operation:
The 7-speed Shimano gear system allows you to adjust your pedaling effort to different terrains and speeds. Use the twist grip shifter on the handlebar to change gears. Shift to lower gears for climbing hills and higher gears for flat terrain or downhill riding.
Charging the Battery:
- Remove the battery from the bike or charge it directly on the bike.
- Connect the charger to the battery charging port and then to a power outlet.
- The charging indicator on the charger will show the charging status. Charge time is approximately 2-3 hours for a full charge.
- Disconnect the charger once the battery is fully charged.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike.
Routine Checks:
- Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. Recommended pressure is typically indicated on the tire sidewall. Inspect for wear and punctures.
- Brakes: Regularly check brake pads for wear and ensure brake levers provide firm and responsive stopping power. Adjust as needed.
- Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth shifting and prevent rust.
- Bolts and Fasteners: Periodically check and tighten all bolts, nuts, and quick releases, especially on critical components like wheels, handlebars, and seat post.
Battery Care:
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50-70% and recharge every 1-2 months to maintain battery health.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
Cleaning:
Clean your bike with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components or bearings.
