5. Setup and Installation
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the light bar and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Mounting: Attach the provided bow mount to the light bar using the screws. Secure the light bar to a stable truss, stand, or other suitable mounting surface. Ensure the mounting is secure and can support the weight of the fixture.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the 'POWER IN' port on the light bar and then to a compatible power outlet (110V~240V, 50-60Hz).
- DMX Connection (Optional): For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller to the 'DMX IN' port on the light bar. If linking multiple units, connect the 'DMX OUT' of the first unit to the 'DMX IN' of the next, and so on.
- Master/Slave Setup (Optional): To link multiple units without a DMX controller, set one unit as 'Master' and others as 'Slave' via the control panel. Connect them using DMX cables.
6. Operating Instructions
The XFALIGHTS Stage Light Bar offers various control modes and effects. Use the LCD display and control buttons (Menu, Up, Down, Enter) on the unit to navigate settings.
6.1. Control Modes
- DMX512 Mode: Allows external control via a DMX controller. Select one of the 5 available channel modes (3/5/11/144/146) to match your controller's settings. This mode enables precise control over individual pixels, colors, dimming, and effects.
- Automatic Mode: The light bar cycles through 62 pre-programmed effects. Use the control buttons to select different automatic programs.
- Sound Activation Mode: The light bar responds to ambient sound or music, with 8 sound-activated modes. Adjust sensitivity if available.
- Master/Slave Mode: Link multiple units. Set one unit as the 'Master' to control all connected 'Slave' units, synchronizing their effects.
- RDM (Remote Device Management): Enhanced DMX512 functionality allowing remote adjustment of critical settings like DMX address and channel mode from a compatible DMX controller.
6.2. Effects and Adjustments
- Color Mixing: Achieve 16.7 million colors through RGB 3-in-1 LED technology.
- Dimming: Smooth 0-100% electronic dimming.
