Setup Guide

1. Assembly

Your VEEFA Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:

1. Install the Handlebar: Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube and tighten the bolts securely. Ensure the handlebar is straight and aligned with the front wheel.
2. Attach the Front Wheel: Carefully align the front wheel with the fork dropouts. Ensure the disc brake rotor is correctly seated within the brake caliper. Secure with the quick-release skewer or axle nuts.
3. Install Pedals: Identify the Left (L) and Right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Apply a small amount of grease to the threads before installation.
4. Insert Seat Post and Saddle: Insert the seat post into the frame's seat tube. Adjust the saddle height for comfortable riding, ensuring the minimum insertion mark is not visible. Tighten the quick-release lever or bolt.
5. Attach Fenders: Secure the front and rear fenders using the provided screws and brackets. Ensure they are properly aligned and do not rub against the tires.
6. Install Rear Basket: Mount the rear basket onto the integrated rear rack. The collapsible design allows for easy storage and deployment. Secure it firmly using the provided straps or mounting hardware.

2. Initial Battery Charging

Before your first ride, fully charge the battery. The 48V built-in removable battery provides an extended range.

• Locate the charging port on the bike frame or remove the battery for off-bike charging.
• Connect the charger to the battery port, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
• The charger indicator light will typically turn red during charging and green when fully charged.
• Charging time may vary, but expect several hours for a full charge from empty.
• Always use the original VEEFA charger provided with your bike.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

• To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the display unit for a few seconds.
• To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display turns off.

2. Pedal-Assist Levels (PAS)

Your VEEFA Electric Bike features 5 pedal-assist levels. These levels control the amount of motor assistance you receive while pedaling.

• Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the control panel to cycle through the PAS levels (0-5).
• Level 0: No motor assistance (pure pedal power).
• Level 1-5: Increasing levels of motor assistance. Higher levels provide more power and speed with less pedaling effort.

3. Throttle Usage

The bike is equipped with a thumb throttle for on-demand power without pedaling.

• Gently press the thumb throttle to engage the motor. The more you press, the faster the bike will go, up to its maximum speed.
• The throttle can be used independently of pedal-assist or in conjunction with it.
• Release the throttle to stop motor assistance.

4. Gear Shifting

The 7-speed gear system allows you to adjust your pedaling effort to different terrains and speeds.

• Use the shifter on the handlebar to change gears.
• Shift to a lower gear (larger cog on the rear wheel) for easier pedaling on inclines.
• Shift to a higher gear (smaller cog on the rear wheel) for faster speeds on flat terrain or descents.
• Always pedal lightly while shifting gears to ensure smooth transitions and prevent damage to the drivetrain.

5. Braking

Your VEEFA Electric Bike is equipped with reliable disc brakes for effective stopping power.

• The right lever controls the rear brake, and the left lever controls the front brake.
• Apply both brakes simultaneously for optimal stopping power and control.
• Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially with the front brake, as this can lead to loss of control.

6. Digital Display Functions

The digital display provides important information about your ride:

• Speed: Current riding speed.
• Battery Level: Indicates remaining battery charge.
• PAS Level: Shows the current pedal-assist level.
• Odometer/Trip Distance: Tracks total distance or current trip distance.
• Headlight Indicator: Shows if the headlight is on.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike.

1. Cleaning

• Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid high-pressure washers.
• Do not spray water directly onto electrical components (motor, battery, display).

2. Tire Pressure

• Check tire pressure before each ride. Refer to the sidewall of your tires for recommended PSI.

3. Brake Inspection

4. Battery Care

• Charge the battery regularly, even if not used frequently, to maintain its health.

• Do not fully discharge the battery before recharging.

5. General Checks

• Lubricate the chain regularly to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.
