1. Introduction

The QUTANIX 2-in-1 Baby Playard and Bassinet is designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for your child from newborn to toddler stages. This versatile unit functions as an intimate bedside bassinet sleeper, a standalone baby crib, and a spacious playard. It features a retractable side with adjustable heights, breathable mesh sides, and a music mobile to enhance your child's experience.

2. Safety Information

• Always ensure all locking mechanisms are securely engaged before placing a child in the playard or bassinet.
• The infant bassinet and diaper changing table are suitable for infants up to 22 lbs (10 kg).
• The baby playard is suitable for toddlers up to 33 lbs (15 kg).
• Never leave a child unattended in the playard or bassinet.
• Discontinue use of the bassinet feature when the infant begins to push up on hands and knees or has reached the maximum weight limit, whichever comes first.
• Ensure the mattress pad is always placed firmly and securely within the unit to prevent gaps.
• Keep small parts and packaging materials away from children to prevent choking hazards.

3. What's Included

4. Assembly & Setup

4.1. Unfolding the Playard Frame

1. Remove the playard frame from the carrying bag.
2. Unfasten any securing straps around the folded frame.
3. Stand the playard upright and pull the two short sides upwards until they lock into place. Ensure they are fully extended and rigid.
4. Repeat for the two long sides, pulling them upwards until they audibly click and lock.
5. Push down firmly on the center of the playard floor until it lies flat and is securely in place.

4.2. Installing the Bassinet Insert

The bassinet insert allows for a higher sleeping surface for newborns.

1. Ensure the playard frame is fully assembled and locked.
2. Locate the bassinet insert. It features metal support bars that are stitched into the fabric.
3. Connect the metal support bars by sliding them into the designated sleeves and securing any Velcro straps.
4. Carefully lower the bassinet insert into the playard frame.
5. Secure the bassinet insert to the playard frame using the provided clips or hooks on each corner. Ensure all attachment points are firmly fastened.
6. Place the mattress pad securely inside the bassinet insert.

4.3. Attaching the Music Mobile

The music mobile provides gentle melodies and engaging toys for your child.

1. Assemble the music mobile components as shown in the diagram (refer to manufacturer's diagram if available).
2. Attach the assembled music mobile arm to the top rail of the playard or bassinet, ensuring it is securely clamped.
3. Hang the three soft toys from the mobile.

4.4. Attaching the Changing Pad

The changing pad provides a convenient surface for diaper changes.

1. Position the changing pad over one of the top rails of the playard or bassinet.
2. Secure the changing pad by fastening its clips or straps to the playard frame. Ensure it is stable and does not wobble.

4.5. Attaching the Storage Caddy

The storage caddy offers convenient access to diapers, wipes, and other essentials.

1. Hook the storage caddy onto the top rail of the playard or bassinet at your desired location.
2. Ensure it is securely attached and stable.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Using as a Playard

For toddlers up to 33 lbs (15 kg), the playard provides a secure space for play and rest.

• Ensure the bassinet insert is removed and the mattress pad is placed on the lowest level of the playard floor.
• Verify all side rails are locked and the floor is flat and secure.

5.2. Using as a Bassinet

For newborns and infants up to 22 lbs (10 kg), the bassinet offers a raised sleeping surface.

• Ensure the bassinet insert is correctly installed and secured as per Section 4.2.
• Place the mattress pad firmly within the bassinet insert.

5.3. Adjusting the Retractable Side (Bedside Sleeper Mode)

The retractable side allows for easy access to your baby when used as a bedside sleeper.

• Locate the release levers on the side rail you wish to retract.
• Press the levers and gently lower the side rail. There are 3 adjustable height positions.
• To raise, lift the side rail until it clicks into the desired locked position.
• Always ensure the side rail is securely locked when not actively accessing your child.
• Use the provided fastening straps to secure the playard to your adult bed when in bedside sleeper mode.

5.4. Using the Zipped Game Entrance

The zipped game entrance allows older toddlers to crawl in and out independently.

• Locate the zipper on one of the playard's mesh sides.
• Unzip to open the entrance. Zip up to close and secure.

6. Folding & Portability

The QUTANIX Playard features an easy folding mechanism for convenient storage and travel.

1. Remove the bassinet insert, changing pad, music mobile, and storage caddy.
2. Remove the mattress pad from the playard floor.
3. Pull the center strap on the playard floor upwards.
4. While holding the center strap, press the release buttons on the middle of each side rail and push the sides inwards to collapse the frame.
5. Gather the collapsed frame and secure it with the provided straps.
6. Place the folded playard and all accessories into the carrying bag for transport or storage.

7. Maintenance & Care

• Fabric Components: The manufacturer specifies "Dry Clean Only" for the fabric. For minor spills, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow to air dry completely.
• Frame: Wipe the metal frame and plastic components with a damp cloth and mild soap. Dry thoroughly.
• Mattress Pad: The mattress pad is made of Sponge and Polyester. Spot clean as needed.
• Regularly inspect the playard for any loose parts, torn fabric, or damaged components. Discontinue use if any damage is found.

8. Troubleshooting

• Sides not locking: Ensure the center of the playard floor is not pushed down before attempting to lock the side rails. The side rails must be locked first, then the floor pushed down.
• Playard not folding: Ensure the center of the playard floor is pulled up completely before attempting to release the side rail locking mechanisms. All side rails must be unlocked before the playard can fully collapse.
• Bassinet insert unstable: Verify all metal support bars are fully connected and inserted into their sleeves, and all clips/hooks are securely fastened to the playard frame.
