Setup

Charging the Devices

Before first use, fully charge both the remote control and the receiver collar. The remote charges in 2-3 hours and offers up to 90 days standby time (30 days working time). The receiver charges in 2-3 hours and offers 20-30 days standby time (10-15 days working time).

Use the provided Type-C cable for charging. Ensure the waterproof silicone plug on the receiver's charging port is securely closed after charging.

Fitting the Collar

Proper fit of the receiver collar is crucial for effective and safe operation. The collar should be snug enough for the contact points to touch the dog's skin, but not so tight as to restrict breathing or cause discomfort. You should be able to fit one finger snugly under the strap.

The nylon strap can be trimmed to fit your dog's neck size, ranging from 8 to 24 inches. After trimming, carefully burn the end of the strap with a lighter to prevent fraying.

Operating Modes

The PEDONO Dog Training Collar offers three humane training modes:

  • Beep (Standard): Emits an audible tone.
  • Vibration (Level 0-9): Delivers a gentle vibration. The intensity can be adjusted from level 0 to 9.
  • Safe Shock (Level 0-9): Provides a safe static stimulation. The intensity can be adjusted from level 0 to 9. This feature includes a unique shock-lock keypad to prevent accidental activation.

The remote control has a range of up to 1,600 feet in unobstructed areas, providing ample freedom for training.

Pairing the Devices

To ensure the remote control communicates with the receiver collar, follow these pairing steps:

  1. Turn on the receiver collar by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds until you hear the first long beep.
  2. Select the desired channel (Channel 1, 2, or 3) on the remote control.
  3. Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the receiver collar again for 3 seconds. You will hear a second long beep, indicating successful pairing.

This video guides you through the process of pairing the remote control with the receiver collar, including how to pair additional receivers for multiple dogs.

Multi-Dog Control (Channel A)

The PEDONO system supports training multiple dogs simultaneously. When multiple receiver collars are individually paired to different channels (Channel 1, 2, and 3), they can all be controlled at the same time through Channel A on the remote control.

This feature eliminates the need to re-pair collars on the same channel, making it ideal for households with multiple pets.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Regularly clean the receiver collar and remote control with a damp cloth. Ensure the charging port on the receiver is sealed when not charging, especially if the collar will be exposed to water.

Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the devices frequently. Store them in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Strap Replacement

The nylon strap is durable but may need replacement over time. Refer to the "Fitting the Collar" section for instructions on adjusting and trimming the strap, which also applies to replacement.

Troubleshooting

Shock Function Not Responding

If the shock function does not respond, consider the following:

  • Low Battery: Ensure both the remote and receiver are fully charged.
  • Incorrect Channel: Verify that the remote is set to the correct channel paired with the receiver.
  • Loose Collar: The electronic collar may be too loose on the dog's neck, preventing proper contact. Adjust the fit.
  • Test with Tool: Use the provided Test Light Tool to confirm the shock function is working. Place the tool over the contact points and activate the shock. If it flashes red, the function is operational.

This video demonstrates how to test the beep, vibration, and static stimulation functions of the collar using the remote and the included test light tool.
