Operating Instructions

1. Basic Operation

  1. Power On: Connect the power supply and press the POWER button. The power indicator will light up.
  2. Gain Adjustment: For each channel, adjust the GAIN knob to set the input level. Aim for the PEAK indicator to flash only occasionally, avoiding constant illumination which indicates clipping.
  3. Equalization (EQ): Use the HIGH and LOW knobs to adjust the treble and bass frequencies for each channel.
  4. Volume Control: Use the channel VOL slider to control the individual channel volume.
  5. Main Output Volume: Adjust the MAIN volume knob to control the overall output level.
  6. Headphone Monitoring: Connect headphones to the PHONE jack and adjust the PHONE volume knob for monitoring.

2. Using 48V Phantom Power

The mixer provides +48V phantom power for condenser microphones on channels 1 and 2. To activate, ensure your condenser microphone is connected, then press the +48V PHANTOM(1-2) button. The indicator light next to the button will illuminate. Caution: Do not activate phantom power when dynamic microphones or other non-phantom powered devices are connected, as this may cause damage.

3. Bluetooth Playback

To stream audio wirelessly via Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure the mixer is powered on.
  2. Press the MODE/BT button until "Bluetooth" is displayed on the screen. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled device, search for "MG04" (or similar name) in the Bluetooth settings and pair with it.
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing. You can now play audio from your device through the mixer.
  5. Use the playback control buttons (Play/Pause, Previous, Next) on the mixer to control your audio.

The USB interface supports both playback from a USB flash drive and connection to a computer for audio interface functionality.

  • USB Flash Drive Playback: Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB socket. The mixer will automatically detect and begin playing the audio. Use the playback control buttons to navigate tracks.
  • Computer Connection (USB Audio Interface): Connect the mixer to your computer via a USB cable. The mixer will be recognized as an audio input/output device. You can then use it for recording audio from the mixer's inputs or playing back audio from your computer through the mixer.
