9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your NEEWER KM18 system, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Sound/Poor Audio Quality:
    • Ensure the receiver is fully inserted into your device's USB-C port.
    • Check if the transmitters are powered on and successfully paired (steady blue light on receiver).
    • Verify that the microphone is not muted (red light on transmitter indicates mute).
    • Adjust the recording volume settings on your connected device.
    • Ensure the furry windshields are properly installed in windy conditions.
    • Disable noise cancellation (double-click TX button) if recording in a quiet environment, as it might sometimes affect natural sound.
  • Transmitters Not Pairing:
    • Make sure both transmitters and the receiver are sufficiently charged.
    • Power off and then power on both the transmitters and the receiver. They should automatically re-pair.
    • Ensure there are no significant obstructions between the transmitters and the receiver.
  • Short Transmission Range:
    • Reduce obstacles between the transmitter and receiver.
    • Ensure you are within the recommended operating range (150m forward, 25m back).
    • Avoid environments with strong electromagnetic interference.
  • Phone Not Charging via Receiver:
    • Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the receiver's charging port and a power source.
    • Verify that your phone supports pass-through charging via its USB-C port.
  • Device Not Recognizing Receiver (Android Specific):
    • For some Android phones (e.g., OPPO, VIVO, IQOO, Realme), you may need to enable the OTG (On-The-Go) function in your phone's settings. Search for "OTG" in your phone's settings menu.
