Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your EUYBIKE F6 Pro.

Battery Care

Charge the 48V 20Ah lithium-ion battery using the provided charger. Avoid fully discharging the battery regularly. Store the battery in a cool, dry place and charge it periodically if not in use for extended periods (e.g., every 1-2 months) to maintain its health. The battery is waterproof, but avoid submerging it.

Brake System Maintenance

Check brake pads for wear and replace them when necessary. Ensure brake cables are free from fraying and properly adjusted for responsive braking. Lubricate brake pivot points periodically.

General Cleaning and Lubrication

Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components. Lubricate the chain and other moving parts with appropriate bicycle lubricant to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your electric bike.

  • Bike not powering on: Check if the battery is fully charged and properly installed. Ensure the battery key is turned to the 'on' position.
  • Motor not assisting: Verify that the pedal assist level is not set to '0'. Check all electrical connections for looseness. Ensure the brake levers are not partially engaged.
  • Brakes not effective: Inspect brake pads for wear and replace if needed. Check brake cable tension and adjust if too loose. Ensure brake rotors are clean and free of oil.
  • Unusual noises: Identify the source of the noise. It could be loose components, dry chain, or rubbing brake pads. Tighten loose parts, lubricate the chain, or adjust brakes as necessary.
  • Display not working: Check battery charge. Ensure all display cables are securely connected. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
