Introduction

This full-size, ambidextrous mouse offers a reliable 2.4G wireless connection, 6 responsive buttons, and adjustable DPI settings for precise control. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.

Setup

1. Install Battery and Retrieve USB Receiver

The mouse requires one AA battery (not included). The 2.4G USB receiver is stored within the battery compartment for convenience during travel.

  1. Gently open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Insert one AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Remove the USB receiver from its storage slot.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Connect USB Receiver

Plug the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer or laptop. The system will automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

3. Power On the Mouse

Locate the ON/OFF switch on the underside of the mouse and slide it to the 'ON' position. The mouse is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Button Functions

The MKE 410 mouse features 6 buttons for enhanced control:

  • Left Button: Standard click function.
  • Right Button: Context menu function.
  • Scroll Wheel: Scrolls documents and web pages. Can also be clicked for middle-click functionality.
  • DPI Button: Adjusts cursor sensitivity (DPI).
  • Forward Button: Navigates forward in web browsers or file explorers.
  • Backward Button: Navigates backward in web browsers or file explorers.

DPI Adjustment

Press the DPI button (located behind the scroll wheel) to cycle through three sensitivity levels: 800 DPI, 1200 DPI (default), and 1600 DPI. Choose the setting that best suits your task and preference.

Automatic Sleep Mode

To conserve battery life, the mouse will enter sleep mode after 1 minute of inactivity. To wake the mouse, simply press any button.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The mouse operates on a single AA battery and can last up to 12 months depending on usage. When the battery is low, the DPI indicator light will blink red continuously. Replace the battery by following the steps in the 'Setup' section.

Cleaning

To clean your mouse, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the mouse is powered ON.
  • Check if the battery is installed correctly and has sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.

Erratic cursor movement
  • Clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse.

  • Check for strong wireless interference from other devices.
Side buttons not working
  • Ensure your operating system supports these functions. Note that side buttons are not supported on macOS.
  • Some applications may require specific settings for side button functionality.
