4. Setup and Connection

The SK16QMK keyboard supports three connection modes: Wired, 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0.

4.1. Wired Mode

1. Locate the mode switch on the left side of the keyboard.
2. Slide the switch to the OFF position. This is the default factory mode for wired connection.
3. Connect the provided Type-C cable to the keyboard's Type-C port and the other end to your computer's USB port.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. RGB Backlighting Control

5.2. Hot-Swapping Switches

The SK16QMK keyboard supports hot-swapping, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering.

1. Use the provided switch puller tool to carefully remove the keycap from the desired switch.
2. Position the switch puller around the top and bottom clips of the switch.
3. Gently but firmly pull the switch straight up to remove it from the PCB.
4. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight.
5. Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks. Do not force it if there is resistance; check pin alignment.
6. Replace the keycap.

5.3. Macro Programming (VIA Driver)

The SK16QMK keyboard supports multi-layer macro definition programming via the VIA driver. This functionality is available only in wired mode.

1. Ensure the keyboard is connected in wired mode.
