This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Cmokifuly GMK87 TKL Mechanical Keyboard Kit. The GMK87 is an 85-key Tenkeyless (TKL) mechanical keyboard kit featuring tri-mode connectivity, a hot-swappable PCB, gasket-mounted design, a rotary knob, and a TFT-LCD screen. It is VIA programmable for extensive customization.

2. Setup Guide
2.1 Package Contents
Your GMK87 TKL Mechanical Keyboard Kit includes the keyboard barebones (case, PCB, plate, stabilizers, rotary knob, TFT-LCD screen) and a USB-C cable. Note: Switches and keycaps are not included and must be purchased separately.
2.2 Switch Installation
The GMK87 features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing for easy installation and removal of 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches without soldering.
- Align the pins of your mechanical switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the switch is oriented correctly (south-facing RGB).
- Gently push the switch straight down until it clicks into place. Do not force the switch, as this may bend the pins.
- Repeat for all desired switch positions.

2.3 Keycap Installation
Once all switches are installed, gently press your desired keycaps onto the switch stems until they are securely seated.
2.4 Connectivity Setup
The GMK87 supports three connection modes: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C.
- Wired Mode (USB-C): Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's Type-C port and the other end to your computer. Ensure the mode switch on the back of the keyboard is set to 'USB'.
- 2.4GHz Wireless Mode: Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver stored in the slot on the back of the keyboard. Plug the receiver into an available USB port on your computer. Set the mode switch on the back of the keyboard to '2.4G'. Press Fn + R to activate 2.4GHz pairing mode if needed.
- Bluetooth Mode: Set the mode switch on the back of the keyboard to 'BT'. Press Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E to select one of three Bluetooth profiles. The keyboard will enter pairing mode. On your device (PC, laptop, smartphone, tablet), search for Bluetooth devices and select 'GMK87' to connect.

2.5 System Compatibility Switch
On the back of the keyboard, there is a switch to select between Mac and Windows operating systems. Ensure this switch is set to your current operating system for optimal key mapping.
2.6 VIA Software Setup
The GMK87 is VIA programmable, allowing for advanced customization of key functions, macros, and RGB lighting. To use VIA:
- Download the VIA software from the official website.
- Obtain the specific VIA JSON file for the GMK87 TKL from the manufacturer's support page or by contacting customer service.
- Open the VIA software and load the GMK87 JSON file.
- Connect your keyboard via USB-C. The software should automatically detect the keyboard.

2.7 TFT-LCD Screen Customization
The TFT-LCD screen can display custom images or GIFs. A dedicated customization tool is required. Please contact customer support to obtain the screen customization tool and instructions.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Mode Switching
Use the physical switch on the back of the keyboard to toggle between 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired modes.
3.2 Rotary Knob Functions
The multi-media rotary knob provides quick control over audio.
- Rotate right: Increase volume.
- Rotate left: Decrease volume.
- Press: Play/Pause media.

3.3 RGB Backlighting
The GMK87 features south-facing RGB backlighting with multiple adjustable modes. You can customize backlight speed, brightness, and effects using the VIA software.

3.4 Key Customization (VIA)
Utilize the VIA software to remap any key, create macros, and fine-tune your keyboard's functionality to suit your preferences. Refer to the VIA software documentation for detailed instructions.
4. Maintenance
4.1 General Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and appearance, regularly clean your keyboard.
- Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
- Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps and switches.
- For stubborn dirt, gently wipe the keycaps and case with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the keyboard's finish.
4.2 Switch and Stabilizer Care
The GMK87 features a gasket-mounted design with built-in noise-absorbing pads (Poron and IXPE) and lubricated stabilizers for an enhanced typing experience. While these components are designed for durability, proper care can extend their lifespan.
- If removing switches, use a switch puller to avoid damaging the hot-swap sockets.
- Avoid spilling liquids on the keyboard. If a spill occurs, immediately disconnect the keyboard and allow it to dry completely before reconnecting.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Keyboard Not Responding
- Wired Mode: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable. Verify the mode switch is set to 'USB'.
- 2.4GHz Wireless: Ensure the 2.4GHz receiver is plugged in and the mode switch is set to '2.4G'. Try replugging the receiver. Press Fn + R to re-pair.
- Bluetooth Mode: Ensure the mode switch is set to 'BT' and the correct Bluetooth profile (Fn + Q/W/E) is selected. Re-pair the keyboard in your device's Bluetooth settings. Ensure the keyboard battery is charged.
- Battery: If using wireless modes, ensure the keyboard's built-in 3000mAh battery is charged. Connect via USB-C to charge.
5.2 Keys Not Registering
- Ensure switches are fully seated in their hot-swap sockets. Gently press down on any problematic switches.
- If a specific switch is not working, try replacing it with a known working switch to determine if the issue is with the switch or the PCB socket.
5.3 RGB Backlighting Issues
- Check VIA software settings to ensure RGB is enabled and configured as desired.
- Ensure the keyboard is receiving sufficient power (especially in wired mode).
5.4 VIA Software Not Detecting Keyboard
- Ensure the keyboard is connected via USB-C. VIA typically requires a wired connection for configuration.
- Verify that the correct GMK87 JSON file is loaded in the VIA software.
- Restart the VIA software and reconnect the keyboard.
