Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for perfectly cooked rice:

General Rice Cooking Steps:

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One full measuring cup equals approximately 3/4 U.S. cup.
  2. Rinse Rice (Optional): Rinse rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
  3. Add Rice to Pot: Place the rinsed rice into the removable inner pot.
  4. Add Water: Refer to the "Rice Cooking Chart" below for the correct water-to-rice ratio. Use the measuring cup for water, or fill to the corresponding water line inside the inner pot.
  5. Place Pot in Cooker: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the main unit of the rice cooker.
  6. Secure Lid: Place the glass lid securely on the inner pot.
  7. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
  8. Start Cooking: Press the one-touch control switch down to the "Cook" position. The "Cook" indicator light will illuminate.
  9. Automatic Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the rice cooker will automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" mode, and the "Warm" indicator light will illuminate.
  10. Rest and Serve: For best results, allow rice to rest on "Keep Warm" for 5-10 minutes after cooking is complete. Then, open the lid, fluff the rice with the rice paddle, and serve.
  11. Unplug: Always unplug the rice cooker from the outlet when not in use.
