1. Introduction

2. Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed from the laminator. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation.

2.1 Power Connection

Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet. The laminator is designed for standard household power (AC 110-120V, 50/60Hz).

2.2 Initial Warm-up

Turn the power switch to the 'HOT' setting. The red 'POWER' indicator light will illuminate. The green 'READY' indicator light will turn on when the machine has reached the optimal operating temperature, typically within 2 minutes. The laminator is now ready for use.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Hot and Cold Lamination Modes

The Qfun laminator supports both hot and cold lamination modes, suitable for 3-5 mil thick laminating sheets. Select the appropriate mode using the switch on the side of the machine.

  • Hot Mode: Ideal for standard documents such as photos, cards, certificates, and menus. Requires warm-up time.
  • Cold Mode: Suitable for heat-sensitive materials like ink documents, invoices, or bookmarks. No warm-up time is required.

3.2 Lamination Process

  1. Prepare your document and place it inside a laminating pouch, ensuring it is centered and flat.
  2. For hot lamination, wait for the green 'READY' light to illuminate. For cold lamination, no warm-up is needed.
  3. Insert the sealed edge of the pouch into the laminator's entry slot. The machine will automatically feed the pouch through.
  4. The laminated document will exit from the rear tray. Allow it to cool before handling.

The laminator features a 2-roller system for even pressure, preventing bubbles and wrinkles. It boasts a laminating speed of 340 mm/min.

3.3 Cutting Functions (Built-in Trimmer)

The laminator includes a built-in paper trimmer with three interchangeable cutter heads for different cutting effects: linear, dashed, and wavy lines. The cutter heads are stored in a compartment at the front of the machine.

3.4 Corner Rounder

Use the included corner rounder to smooth out sharp corners of laminated documents, preventing accidental cuts and improving aesthetics. It is stored in the front compartment.

3.5 Hole Puncher & Binder Rings

The included hole puncher allows you to create holes in your laminated documents, which can then be organized using the provided binder rings. These accessories are also stored in the front compartment.

3.6 Jam Release (ABS Button)

In case of a paper jam, press the 'ABS' button located on the side of the machine. This will release the rollers, allowing you to manually pull out the jammed document. This feature helps prevent damage to the machine and your documents.

4. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Qfun laminator, regular maintenance is recommended.

4.1 Cleaning

Ensure the machine is unplugged and completely cooled down before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For internal cleaning, run a cleaning sheet through the laminator periodically to remove any adhesive residue from the rollers.

4.2 Storage

When not in use, store the laminator in a cool, dry place. The compact design with integrated storage for accessories helps keep all components together and saves space.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Qfun laminator, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
