Setup Guide

1. Initial Setup & Power Connection

The 64GB Micro SD card comes pre-inserted into the side slot of the dash cam. Ensure it is properly seated before powering on the device. Connect the 11.5ft power supply cable to the dash cam's Type-C port and plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet. The dash cam will automatically power on when the vehicle starts.

2. App Installation & Wi-Fi Connection

Download the 'GKU GO' app from your smartphone's app store (available for iOS and Android). Once installed, turn on the dash cam's Wi-Fi by tapping the Wi-Fi icon on the screen. Then, connect your phone to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (GKU-D700_xxxx) using the provided password in the manual. This allows for faster video previews, downloads, and settings adjustments.

3. Rear Camera Installation

Insert the rear camera cable into the AV-IN port on the main dash cam unit. Route the 18ft rear camera cable discreetly along the vehicle's trim to the rear windshield. Use the provided 3M adhesive pads and electrostatic films to securely mount the rear camera on the rear windshield. Ensure the camera lens has a clear view of the road behind.

4. Mounting the Dash Cam

Attach the main dash cam unit to the windshield using the pre-installed bracket and 3M adhesive. For optimal placement, position it behind your rearview mirror to avoid obstructing your view. The discreet design ensures it does not block your sight while driving. Use the included crowbar tool to tuck cables neatly into the vehicle's trim for a clean installation.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Recording (Loop Recording & G-Sensor)

The D700 dash cam features continuous loop recording, automatically overwriting the oldest footage when the memory card is full. You can set recording segments to 1, 3, or 5-minute intervals via the settings. The built-in G-Sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions, locking the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten, ensuring crucial evidence is preserved.

2. Touch Screen Operation

The 3.18-inch touch screen provides effortless navigation through all dash cam features. Tap icons to access video recording, playback, settings, and Wi-Fi controls. The intuitive user interface allows for quick adjustments and real-time viewing of both front and rear camera feeds.

3. GPS Tracking

The integrated GPS module records your driving routes, real-time speed (km/h or mph), and location data. This information is embedded in your video footage, providing crucial evidence in case of an accident and allowing you to review your travel history via the GKU GO app or a compatible GPS player on your computer.

4. Advanced Night Vision with WDR Technology

Equipped with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, a 6-glass lens, and an F1.8 aperture, the D700 enhances clarity and detail in low-light conditions. This ensures clear and balanced footage during night driving, capturing critical details on dark roads.

5. Fatigue Driving Alert

To promote safer driving, the dash cam offers customizable fatigue driving alerts at 1, 2, or 3-hour intervals. When activated, the screen will display a prompt and emit a beeping sound, reminding you to take a break and prevent driver fatigue.

6. 24-Hour Parking Monitor

For continuous vehicle surveillance, the 24-hour parking monitor offers two modes: G-Sensor Parking Mode (activates recording upon impact detection) and Time Lapse Parking Mode (provides continuous, condensed surveillance). Note: This feature requires a separate hardwire kit (not included, but available upon request from GKU support) to function when the vehicle is off.

Maintenance

1. SD Card Management

Regularly format the Micro SD card (at least once a month) via the GKU GO app settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This will erase all existing footage, so back up any important videos before formatting. The dash cam supports up to 512GB Micro SD cards.

2. Super Capacitor

The D700 is built with a super capacitor, providing enhanced durability and reliable performance in extreme temperatures ranging from -4℉ to 158℉ (-20℃ to 70℃). This design eliminates the risks associated with traditional lithium-ion batteries in harsh automotive environments.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions

• Wi-Fi & App Connectivity: Ensure Wi-Fi is manually turned on in the dash cam settings before connecting via the app. If issues persist, check for firmware updates through the app or contact customer support.
• GPS Signal Loss: Ensure the dash cam has a clear view of the sky. If the issue continues, contact customer support for assistance.
• Parking Monitor Not Working: Verify that a hardwire kit is correctly installed and connected to your vehicle's power supply. The parking monitor requires continuous power, which is not supplied by the standard car charger when the ignition is off.
• Video Playback Issues: Ensure your Micro SD card is formatted regularly. If videos are corrupted or unplayable, try formatting the card or using a different compatible high-speed Micro SD card.
• Power Supply Issues: If the dash cam does not power on or frequently shuts off, check the car charger connection and your vehicle's cigarette lighter port. Contact support if the issue is with the provided power cable.
