4. Product Features
The FOUR E'S SCIENTIFIC Magnetic Stirrer Hot Plate is equipped with several features designed for precision and ease of use:

5. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the hot plate and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
- Placement: Position the unit on a stable, level, and heat-resistant workbench in a well-ventilated area. Ensure sufficient clearance around the unit for air circulation.
- Power Connection: Connect the provided power cord to the power inlet on the rear of the unit and then to a grounded 110V AC power outlet.
- External Temperature Sensor (Optional): If precise external temperature control is required, plug the PT1000 sensor into the designated port on the rear of the unit. Place the sensor probe into the liquid to be heated, ensuring it does not interfere with the stir bar.
- Safe Temperature Adjustment: The safe temperature limit (50-550°C) can be adjusted using the small screwdriver provided. This adjustment port is located next to the main power switch. This sets a maximum temperature limit for the hot plate surface.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- Press the main power switch located on the side of the unit to turn it on. The LED display will illuminate.
- To turn off, press the main power switch again.
6.2 Setting Temperature
- Place your beaker or flask containing the liquid and a stir bar on the center of the hot plate surface.
- Rotate the left 3D knob (labeled with temperature symbols) to set the desired heating temperature. The display will show the set temperature.
- Press the left knob to activate the heating function. The heating indicator light will turn on.
- The display will alternate between the set temperature and the actual temperature of the hot plate surface (or the external sensor if connected).
- To stop heating, press the left knob again. The heating indicator light will turn off. The "hot" warning will remain until the surface cools below 50°C.
6.3 Setting Stirring Speed
- Ensure a magnetic stir bar is inside your vessel and placed on the hot plate.
- Rotate the right 3D knob (labeled with RPM symbols) to set the desired stirring speed (50-1500 RPM). The display will show the set RPM.
- Press the right knob to activate the stirring function. The stirring indicator light will turn on, and the stir bar will begin to rotate.
- The display will alternate between the set RPM and the actual RPM.
- To stop stirring, press the right knob again. The stirring indicator light will turn off.

6.4 Using the Timer Function
- The timer can be set from 0 to 99 hours and 59 minutes.
- To set the timer, press the "TIMER" button located between the two knobs. The timer display will flash.
- Use the left knob to adjust hours and the right knob to adjust minutes.
- Press the "TIMER" button again to confirm the setting. The timer will begin counting down once heating or stirring is activated.
- Upon completion of the set time, the heating and/or stirring function will automatically stop.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your hot plate stirrer.
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power cord before cleaning. Allow the hot plate surface to cool completely. Wipe the surface and casing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
