5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Slide open the battery cover.

6. Operation
6.1 Power On/Off
- To power on: Press the Power button (

Press the UNIT button to cycle through measurement units: Meters (m), Inches (in), and Feet (ft).
6.3 Reference Point Selection
The device can measure from its front or rear edge. Press the Reference Point button to switch between the front and rear reference points. An icon on the display will indicate the active reference point.
6.4 Measurement Modes

Press the Function button to select the desired measurement mode.
- Single Distance Measurement: Press the Measure button once to activate the laser, then press again to take a single measurement.
- Continuous Measurement: In single distance mode, press and hold the Measure button to enter continuous measurement. The display will show real-time distance updates. Press again to stop.
- Area Measurement: Select Area mode. The device will prompt for two measurements (length and width). Take the first measurement, then the second. The device will automatically calculate and display the area.
- Volume Measurement: Select Volume mode. The device will prompt for three measurements (length, width, and height). Take each measurement as prompted. The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.

- Pythagorean Measurement: Select Pythagorean mode. This mode allows indirect measurement of height or distance using the Pythagorean theorem. Follow the on-screen prompts to take the required measurements (e.g., hypotenuse and one leg).
