It is specifically compatible with Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 models from 2013 to 2018 (Manual AC version).

5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Vehicle Compatibility

This head unit is compatible with 2013-2018 Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 models equipped with Manual AC controls. Please ensure your vehicle matches this specification for proper fit and function.

5.2 Wiring and Connections

Refer to the included wiring diagram and the following instructions for connecting the head unit.

CANBUS Connection

Ensure the CANBUS box is correctly connected to the head unit. This is crucial for retaining factory features like steering wheel controls.

Note: After connecting the CANBUS, you need to set the Protocol correctly to enable steering wheel controls. Go to Car Settings > Factory Setting (Password: 8888) > Protocol settings, then choose Xinpu-Jeep-14 GrandCherokee for your car.

Rear View Camera Installation

The reversing input must be plugged in even if the reversing camera is not used.

1. Connect the positive pole of the power supply of the car's reversing light.
2. Connect the negative pole of the power supply of the car's reversing light.
3. The reversing trigger is controlled by the stereo, so it does not require a separate connection.

The white plug must be connected to the main device for Bluetooth and WiFi signals.

Original Backup Camera Connection (if applicable)

If you are using an original backup camera, connect the yellow AV connector ("CAM Video In") of the power cable to the Reversing Input cable.

Then, set the camera resolution through Car Settings > Factory Settings (Password: 1234) > Video Source > Select the camera resolution, and restart your car.

Steering Wheel Control Setup

After connecting the CANBUS and setting the protocol, you can configure your steering wheel controls. The system allows you to map functions to your vehicle's steering wheel buttons.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect your smartphone wirelessly to access contacts, calls, messages, navigation, and music.

How to connect CarPlay:

1. Connect car radio Bluetooth (Bluetooth name "Car BTO") - Bluetooth pin: 1234 - show "phone audio, music audio" mean succeed.
2. Click "SpeedPlay".
3. Allow Contacts and Favorites Sync - Allow "Use CarPlay with SpeedPlay" - Use CarPlay.
4. Waiting connecting, first time will need some more time to connect.

How to connect Android Auto:

1. Click "SpeedPlay".
2. Connect your phone into rear 4 pin USB port with original data cable.
3. Allow USB debugging.

6.2 GPS Navigation & WiFi Connection

The unit features a built-in GPS module for navigation. You can use online maps via WiFi or download offline maps. Connect to WiFi by turning on your phone's mobile hotspot.
