5. Operating Instructions

General Dehydration Process:

  1. Prepare Food: Wash and slice your desired food items (fruits, vegetables, meats) into uniform thickness for even drying. Pre-treatment (e.g., blanching for vegetables, marinating for meats) may be required for certain foods. Refer to the included recipe book for specific preparation guidelines.
  2. Load Trays: Arrange the prepared food in a single layer on the stainless steel trays. Ensure there is space between pieces for optimal air circulation. For smaller items or sticky foods, use the mesh sieves. For fruit leathers, use the fruit roll tray.
  3. Set Temperature and Time: Close the dehydrator door. Use the control panel to set the desired temperature (95-165℉) and drying time (up to 48 hours). The LED digital display will show the current settings.
  4. Start Dehydration: Press the Start/Stop button to begin the dehydration process. The internal fans and heating element will activate.
  5. Monitor Progress: Periodically check the food through the transparent door. You may rotate trays or rearrange food for more even drying, especially during longer cycles.
  6. Completion: Once the set time expires, the dehydrator will automatically shut off. Check the food for desired dryness. If not fully dry, you can extend the drying time.
  7. Cool and Store: Allow dehydrated food to cool completely before storing in airtight containers.
