3. Safety Information
Before using the appliance, carefully read this important information and save it for future reference.

4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials, including any protective films or tapes.
- Check if all components are present: main unit, filter (usually pre-installed), and power cord.
4.2 Filter Installation (if not pre-installed)
The filter is crucial for the air purifier's performance. Ensure it is correctly installed.
- Unplug the air purifier from the power outlet.
- Turn the appliance upside down and twist the base cover counter-clockwise to unlock it.
- Remove the base cover and take out the filter. Remove any protective packaging from the filter.
- Insert the filter back into the appliance.
- Replace the base cover and twist it clockwise to lock it securely.

4.3 Placement
- Place the air purifier on a stable, flat surface.
- Ensure there is at least 20 cm of clear space around the air inlets and outlets for optimal airflow.
- Avoid placing the appliance directly next to heat sources or in direct sunlight.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
- Press the power button on the top panel to turn the appliance on. The display will light up.
- Press the power button again to turn the appliance off.
5.2 Modes and Settings
The air purifier offers various modes for different needs:
- Auto Mode: The appliance automatically adjusts fan speed based on real-time air quality detected by its AeraSense sensor.
- Sleep Mode: Operates at the lowest fan speed with dimmed display lights for quiet operation during sleep. Noise level is approximately 20.5 dB.
- Manual Speed Settings: You can manually select different fan speeds (e.g., Speed 1, Speed 2, Turbo) to control purification intensity.

5.3 Air Quality Display
The digital display on the top panel shows real-time air quality information, often indicated by a numerical value and a colored ring:
- Blue: Good air quality
- Purple: Moderate air quality

5.4 Using the Air+ App
The Philips Air+ app allows for remote control and monitoring of your air purifier.
- Download the Philips Air+ app from your smartphone's app store.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air purifier.
6.1 Cleaning the Appliance
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the air purifier with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, alcohol, or corrosive liquids.
- Clean the air inlet and outlet grilles with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner attachment to remove dust.
6.2 Filter Replacement
The air purifier is equipped with a smart filter replacement indicator. When the filter needs replacement, an indicator light or message will appear on the display or in the Air+ app. The filter (model FY0910) typically lasts up to 1 year, depending on usage and air quality.
- Unplug the air purifier.
- Turn the appliance upside down and twist the base cover counter-clockwise to unlock it.
- Remove the old filter and dispose of it properly.
- Remove all packaging from the new Philips original filter (FY0910).
- Insert the new filter into the appliance.
- Replace the base cover and twist it clockwise to lock it securely.
- Plug in the appliance and reset the filter lifetime counter as instructed in the app or by pressing the reset button (if available) on the control panel.
