Setup and Installation

Wiring Diagram
Refer to the following diagram for proper wiring connections. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.

- Yellow Wire: Constant 12V (Battery Positive)
- Red Wire: Switched 12V (Accessory/Ignition)
- Black Wire: Ground
- Blue Wire: Power Antenna / Amplifier Remote Turn-On
- Speaker Wires: Typically pairs of solid and striped wires (e.g., White/White-Black for Front Left, Gray/Gray-Black for Front Right, Green/Green-Black for Rear Left, Purple/Purple-Black for Rear Right).
After connecting all wires, slide the unit into the dashboard opening and secure it using the provided mounting hardware. Reattach the clip-off face panel.
Operating Instructions
Basic Controls
- PWR Button: Press to turn the unit ON/OFF.
- Volume Knob: Rotate to adjust volume level. Press to cycle through audio settings (Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader).
- MODE Button: Press to switch between available sources (FM, USB, SD, AUX, Bluetooth).
- MUTE Button: Press to mute/unmute audio output.
- CLK Button: Press to display the clock. Press and hold to enter clock setting mode.
Bluetooth Operation
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- Select "BT" mode on the media receiver using the MODE button.
- On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "STARSOUND" (or similar name).
- Once paired, you can stream audio or make/receive calls through the unit.
- Use the front panel buttons to answer/end calls or control music playback (play/pause, skip tracks).
USB/SD Playback
- Insert a USB drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
- The unit will automatically switch to USB/SD mode and begin playing compatible audio files (MP3, WMA).
- Use the << and >> buttons to skip tracks.
- Use the Play/Pause button to pause or resume playback.
AUX Input
- Connect your external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX input jack on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable.
- Select "AUX" mode using the MODE button.
- Audio will now play through the car speakers. Control playback from your external device.
FM Radio
- Select "FM" mode using the MODE button.
- Press and hold the << or >> buttons to automatically scan for the next strong station.
- Briefly press the << or >> buttons to manually tune step-by-step.
- To save a station, tune to the desired frequency, then press and hold one of the preset number buttons (1-6) until you hear a beep.
Maintenance
