2. Important Safety Instructions
Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the refrigerator. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the refrigerator, especially when operating on propane gas, to prevent carbon monoxide buildup. Do not block ventilation openings.
- Gas Leaks: If you smell gas, immediately shut off the gas supply, open windows and doors, and do not operate any electrical switches or appliances. Contact a qualified technician.
- Electrical Safety: Connect the refrigerator to properly grounded outlets. Do not use extension cords with this appliance. Disconnect power before cleaning or servicing.
- Flammable Materials: Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.
- Children: Keep children away from the refrigerator, especially when it is operating or being serviced.
- Leveling: For optimal performance and safety, ensure the refrigerator is placed on a level surface.
3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials.
- Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.
- Remove any internal packing, tape, or protective film.
3.2 Placement
- Place the refrigerator on a firm, level surface to ensure proper operation and prevent gas flow issues when using propane.
- Allow sufficient space around the unit for proper air circulation, especially at the rear where the cooling unit is located.
- Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, as this can affect cooling efficiency.

3.3 Power Connections
The refrigerator can operate on three different power sources:
- 110V AC: Connect the standard AC power cord to a grounded 110V AC outlet.
- 12V DC: Connect the 12V DC power cord to a compatible 12V power source (e.g., vehicle battery). Ensure the vehicle engine is running or a robust auxiliary battery is used to prevent battery drain.
- Propane Gas: Connect a standard LPG gas cylinder to the refrigerator's gas inlet using an approved gas hose and regulator. Ensure all connections are tight and check for leaks using a soapy water solution.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located at the top front of the refrigerator and features the following:
Figure 4: Detailed view of the control panel.
- Rotary Switch (F): Selects the power source (OFF, DC12V, AC).
- Thermostat Knob (D): Adjusts the cooling temperature (MIN to MAX).
- Flame Indicator (A): Illuminates when the gas flame is active.
- Safety Valve Button (C): Used for igniting the gas burner.
- Battery Ignition (B): For igniting the gas burner.
4.2 Switching Power Modes
- To use 110V AC: Turn the Rotary Switch to 'AC'.
- To use 12V DC: Turn the Rotary Switch to 'DC12V'. Ensure the 12V power source is active.
- To use Propane Gas:
- Ensure the gas supply is open.
- Turn the Rotary Switch to the gas symbol.
- Press and hold the Safety Valve Button (C) while simultaneously pressing the Battery Ignition (B) repeatedly until the flame ignites (indicated by the Flame Indicator (A)).
- Continue holding the Safety Valve Button for a few seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up, then release.
4.3 Temperature Adjustment
Adjust the Thermostat Knob (D) to set the desired cooling level. 'MIN' provides less cooling, while 'MAX' provides maximum cooling. The optimal temperature range for the fridge is typically 32-50°F (0-10°C).

4.4 Defrosting
This refrigerator features an automatic defrost system. However, if excessive frost builds up, manual defrosting may be required:
- Turn off the refrigerator and disconnect it from all power sources.
- Remove all food items and place them in a cooler.
- Leave the refrigerator door open to allow frost to melt naturally. Place towels at the bottom to absorb water.
- Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before restarting.
5. Care and Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Interior: Clean the interior regularly with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects. The adjustable and removable shelf can be taken out for easier cleaning.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- Door Seal: Keep the door gasket clean to ensure a tight seal.
5.2 Gas System Check
Periodically check gas connections for leaks using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, tighten the connection or replace the faulty part. It is recommended to have the gas system inspected by a qualified technician annually.
5.3 Ventilation
Ensure the rear ventilation grilles are free from obstructions (dust, debris, insects) to maintain efficient cooling and safe operation, especially when using propane. Proper airflow is crucial for the absorption cooling system.
