Setup

Follow these steps for the initial setup of your water dispenser.

3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the water tank and taps. Dispense and discard at least 1 liter of water from both hot and cold taps.
4. Install Water Bottle: Remove the cap from a standard 3-5 gallon water bottle and place it firmly onto the water bottle support on top of the dispenser. Ensure it is seated correctly to prevent leaks.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 220V electrical outlet.
6. Allow to Settle: After plugging in, wait for at least 30 minutes before turning on the heating and cooling functions to allow the refrigerant to settle.

Operating Instructions

Using your Nikai water dispenser is straightforward.

1. Power On: Ensure the dispenser is plugged in. The power indicator light will illuminate.
2. Hot Water: To activate heating, turn on the hot water switch (usually located at the back of the unit). The hot water indicator light will turn on. Once the water reaches the desired temperature, the light will turn off. Press the hot water tap lever to dispense.
3. Cold Water: To activate cooling, turn on the cold water switch (usually located at the back of the unit). The cold water indicator light will turn on. Once the water reaches the desired temperature, the light will turn off. Press the cold water tap lever to dispense.
4. Dispensing: Place a cup or glass under the desired tap and press the lever. Release the lever to stop the flow.

Maintenance

• Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Cleaning the Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly. It can be removed for easy cleaning.
• Internal Cleaning (Descaling):
  1. Unplug the dispenser and remove the water bottle.
  2. Drain all water from both hot and cold tanks using the drain plugs at the back of the unit.
  3. Prepare a cleaning solution (e.g., 1 liter of water with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar or a food-grade descaling agent).
  4. Pour the solution into the water reservoir.
  5. Allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Drain the solution completely.
  7. Rinse the tanks thoroughly by filling with clean water and draining several times until no vinegar smell remains.
