The PERFASCIN Replacement Remote Control is a full-featured remote designed to seamlessly integrate with your compatible Insignia Smart TV. It includes dedicated buttons for popular streaming services and voice control capabilities for enhanced user experience.

Setup

Battery Installation

The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards to open it.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Pairing the Remote Control

This remote control requires pairing with your TV before use. If you are replacing an old remote, ensure it is disconnected from the TV first. Follow these steps to pair your new remote:

  1. Ensure your TV is powered on.
  2. If your old TV remote is still connected, disconnect it.
  3. Point the new remote control towards your TV.
  4. Press and hold the Home button on the new remote for 10-30 seconds.
  5. Continue holding until the LED on the remote starts flashing amber quickly and the TV screen displays a successful pairing message.
  6. Once paired, the remote is ready for use.

Button Functions

Familiarize yourself with the various buttons on your remote control:

  • Power Button (Power icon): Turns the TV on or off.
  • Voice Button (Microphone icon): Activates voice control for commands and searches.
  • Navigation Ring and Select Button: Used to navigate menus and select options.

Voice Control

Your remote control features voice control capabilities, allowing you to issue commands and search for content using your voice. To use voice control:

  1. Press and hold the Voice Button (microphone icon) on the remote.
  2. Speak clearly into the microphone located at the top of the remote.
  3. Release the Voice Button when you are finished speaking.

Examples of voice commands include: "Open Netflix," "Search for action movies," "Switch to HDMI 1," or "Turn off TV."

Maintenance

Cleaning

To maintain the remote control's appearance and functionality, clean it regularly:

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the remote.
  • For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning pads, as these can damage the remote's finish or internal components.

Battery Replacement

Replace the batteries when the remote's performance degrades or if the LED indicator on the remote does not light up during use. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
