Precise Temperature Control for Pour Over Coffee & Tea

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Vianté Electric Gooseneck Kettle. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new appliance. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

2. Safety Instructions

To prevent personal injury or damage to the appliance, always follow basic safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against fire, electric shock, and injury, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
  • This appliance is for household use only.
  • Ensure the lid is securely closed during operation.
  • Do not fill above the MAX fill line to avoid overflow.
  • Do not operate the kettle without water (boil-dry protection is included, but it's best to avoid this).

4. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack the kettle and all accessories.
  2. Wash the kettle body, lid, and tea infuser with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not immerse the power base in water.
  3. Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable surface.
  4. Fill the kettle with water to the MAX line.
  5. Place the kettle on the power base and boil the water (using the 212°F / Fast Boil setting).
  6. Discard the boiled water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
  7. Your kettle is now ready for use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Filling the Kettle

Open the lid and fill the kettle with fresh, cold water. Ensure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks on the kettle body. Do not overfill.

5.2 Using the Tea Infuser

If brewing loose-leaf tea, place your desired amount of tea leaves into the stainless steel infuser. Insert the infuser into the kettle before closing the lid.

5.3 Temperature Control and Boiling

Place the kettle securely on the power base. The control panel offers precise temperature settings:

  • Green & White Teas: 175°F (80°C)
  • Oolong Tea: 195°F (90°C)
  • French Press: 200°F (93°C)
  • Fast Boil / Black Tea: 212°F (100°C)

Press the desired temperature button. The indicator light for the selected temperature will illuminate. Press the "Start/Stop" button to begin heating. The kettle will automatically shut off once the target temperature is reached.

5.4 Keep Warm Function

After reaching the target temperature, you can activate the "Keep Warm" function by pressing the "Keep Warm" button. The kettle will maintain the water temperature for up to 2 hours.

5.5 Pouring

The gooseneck spout is designed for controlled and steady pouring, ideal for pour-over coffee or delicate tea infusions.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your kettle.

  • Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Kettle Body and Lid: Wash by hand with warm, soapy water. Use a non-abrasive scrubber. Do not submerge the kettle body in water.
  • Tea Infuser: Remove and rinse thoroughly after each use.
  • Power Base: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse in water.
  • Empty and dry the kettle promptly after each use to prevent mineral buildup.
  • For descaling, use a commercial descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water. Follow the descaling product's instructions or boil the vinegar solution, let it sit, then rinse thoroughly.

7. Troubleshooting
