3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Gently pry open the battery cover.
- Insert one CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Close the battery cover securely.

3.2 Initial Power On
After battery installation, the device will automatically power on and begin displaying temperature and humidity readings. If the display does not appear, press the °F/°C On/Off button on the back.
3.3 Placement Options
The Vaikby thermometer offers flexible placement options:
- Stand: Use the integrated kickstand to place the device on any flat surface, such as a desk or shelf.
- Wall Mount: Utilize the suspension hole on the back to hang the device on a nail or hook.
- Adhesive Mount: Use the provided double-sided tape to attach the device to a smooth, clean wall or surface.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Reading the Display
The large LCD screen displays the current temperature (top number), humidity percentage (bottom number), and a comfort level emoji.
4.2 Temperature Unit Conversion (°F/°C)
To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), press the °F/°C On/Off button located on the back of the device.

4.3 Comfort Level Indicator
The device features a visual emoji indicator to quickly communicate the current humidity level:
- Dry: Humidity ≤ 39%
- Comfort: 40% ≤ Humidity ≤ 70%
- Wet: Humidity ≥ 71%

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the device, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
5.2 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the device stops functioning, it is time to replace the CR2032 battery. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Inaccurate Readings
- Initial Stabilization: Allow the device approximately 30 minutes to stabilize after initial setup or relocation to provide accurate readings.
- Placement: Ensure the device is not placed near heat sources (e.g., direct sunlight, heating vents) or cold sources (e.g., air conditioning vents, open windows) that could affect local temperature and humidity. Avoid placing it on walls that may be affected by external heating/cooling.
- Airflow: Ensure the air holes on the back of the device are not obstructed.
6.2 Display Issues
- No Display: Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient power. Replace the CR2032 battery if necessary.
- Dim Display: This indicates a low battery. Replace the CR2032 battery.
