Product Overview

The XNY PG-500-2G system consists of a central alarm host and various wireless sensors. Understanding each component is key to effective use.

Main Alarm Host

The central unit with a keypad and display for system control, status indication, and communication. It supports Wi-Fi and 2G SIM for dual network connectivity.

PIR Motion Detectors

Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors detect movement within their detection range. Ideal for securing rooms and hallways.

Door and Window Sensors

These two-part sensors trigger an alarm when a door or window is opened, separating the magnetic contact.

Remote Controls

Compact devices for convenient arming, disarming, and SOS functions from a distance.

Siren

An external siren that emits a loud sound (up to 120 dB) when an alarm is triggered, deterring intruders.

Setup

1. Powering the Alarm Host

Connect the provided AC adapter to the alarm host's power input and plug it into a wall outlet. The host will power on automatically.

2. App Installation and Pairing

The system works with "Smart Life" and "Tuya" applications. Download either app from your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iOS).

  1. Download and install the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app.
  2. Register a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Add the alarm host device by following the in-app instructions. This typically involves putting the alarm host into pairing mode and connecting it to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

3. Installing Sensors and Remote Controls

The system supports up to 100 wireless sensors and remote controls. Follow the specific instructions provided with each sensor for pairing with the main alarm host.

  • PIR Motion Detectors: Mount them in corners or areas where intruders are likely to pass. Ensure they are not blocked by furniture.
  • Door and Window Sensors: Attach one part to the frame and the other to the moving part of the door/window, ensuring they are aligned and close when closed.
  • Remote Controls: These are usually pre-paired or can be easily added through the alarm host's menu or the app.

4. 2G SIM Card Installation (Optional)

For SMS and call notifications, insert a 2G SIM card into the designated slot on the alarm host. Ensure the SIM card has an active plan for calls and SMS.

5. Alexa and Google Assistant Integration

To control your alarm system with voice commands:

  1. Ensure your alarm host is connected to Wi-Fi via the Smart Life/Tuya app.
  2. Open the Alexa or Google Home app on your smartphone.
  3. Enable the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" skill/service.
  4. Link your Smart Life/Tuya account with your Alexa/Google account.
  5. Discover devices. Your alarm system should now be controllable via voice commands.

Wireless sensors are typically powered by standard batteries (e.g., AA, AAA, or button cells) which will need periodic replacement. Refer to individual sensor manuals for specific battery types and replacement instructions.

  • Check battery levels regularly via the app or alarm host display.
  • Replace batteries promptly when low battery warnings appear.
  • Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

Cleaning

Wipe the alarm host and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

General Care

Ensure sensors are free from obstructions and dust. Periodically test the system to confirm all components are functioning correctly.
