5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Drone Battery

1. Remove the 3.7V lithium battery from the drone.
2. Connect the battery to the USB charging cable.

4. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. Charging time is approximately 120-150 minutes.
5. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery and reinsert it into the drone.

5.2 Installing Remote Control Batteries

• Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.

2. Install the app on your smartphone.
3. Turn on the drone and the remote control.
4. On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named "OBABO-XXXXXX").
5. Open the OBABO Drone app. The live video feed from the drone's camera should appear, indicating a successful connection.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Pre-Flight Checks

• Ensure drone and remote control batteries are fully charged.
• Confirm propellers are securely attached and undamaged.
• Choose an open, clear area for flight, free from obstacles and people.
• Power on the drone, then the remote control. Wait for pairing (indicator lights will stabilize).
• If using the app, ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection to the drone.

6.2 Take-off and Landing

• One-Key Take-off: Press the One-Key Take-off/Landing button. The drone will automatically ascend to a stable hovering altitude.
• Manual Take-off: Push both joysticks down and outwards simultaneously to start the motors. Then, slowly push the left joystick (throttle) upwards to ascend.
• One-Key Landing: Press the One-Key Take-off/Landing button again. The drone will automatically descend and land gently.
• Manual Landing: Slowly pull the left joystick (throttle) downwards until the drone lands. Once landed, push both joysticks down and inwards to stop the motors.

6.3 Basic Flight Controls

• Ascend/Descend: Push the left joystick up/down.
• Turn Left/Right (Yaw): Push the left joystick left/right.
• Forward/Backward: Push the right joystick up/down.
• Fly Left/Right (Strafe): Push the right joystick left/right.

6.4 Special Flight Features

• Altitude Hold Mode: The drone automatically maintains its current altitude, allowing for easier control of horizontal movement. This feature provides stable flight.
• Headless Mode: When activated, the drone's orientation becomes relative to the pilot, regardless of the drone's actual front. Press the Headless Mode button to activate/deactivate.
• 360° Tumbling: Press the 360° Tumbling button, then push the right joystick in any direction to perform a flip. Ensure sufficient altitude (at least 2-3 meters) before attempting.
