The GRAM PRES Digital Kitchen Scale features a single sensor weighing platform, capable of measuring up to 10kg (22lb) with an accuracy of 1g increments. It is equipped with a backlit LCD display for easy reading and offers multiple weighing units.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

Your GRAM PRES Digital Kitchen Scale requires 2 x AAA batteries (included). Follow these steps to install them:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Placement

For accurate readings, place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid placing it on soft, uneven, or vibrating surfaces, as this can affect measurement accuracy.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  • To turn on the scale, press the '↵/T' button. The display will light up and show '0g' (or the last used unit).
  • To turn off the scale, press and hold the '↵/T' button for a few seconds. The scale will also automatically power off after 3 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

4.2 Unit Conversion

The scale supports 5 weighing units: grams (g), ounces (oz), pounds and ounces (lb:oz), fluid ounces (fl.oz), and milliliters (ml).

  • To change the unit, press the 'UNIT' button repeatedly until your desired unit is displayed. The scale will remember your last selected unit for future use.

4.3 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to zero out the weight of a container or to measure multiple ingredients in the same bowl.

  • Place an empty container on the weighing platform. The display will show its weight.
  • Press the '↵/T' button. The display will reset to '0'.
  • Now, add your ingredients to the container. The display will show only the net weight of the ingredients.
  • You can repeat this process to measure multiple ingredients consecutively.

4.4 Weighing Items

  • Ensure the scale is on and displaying '0'.
  • Place the item(s) directly onto the stainless steel weighing platform, or in a container if using the Tare function.
  • Read the weight displayed on the backlit LCD screen.
