Initial Setup

1. Place the stereo system on a stable, flat surface.
2. Connect the AC Power Cable to the "AC IN" port on the back of the unit and plug it into a wall outlet.
3. Ensure the Main Power Switch on the back of the unit is in the "ON" position.
4. Extend the FM Radio Antenna for optimal radio reception.
5. Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control.

Front Panel Controls:

Back Panel Controls:

Basic Operation

Power On/Off

To turn the unit on, ensure the Main Power Switch on the back is ON, then press the POWER button on the front panel. Press the POWER button again to put the unit into standby mode.

Adjusting Volume

Rotate the VOLUME knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.

CD Player Operation

The WISCENT Home Stereo System features a convenient top-loading CD player compatible with CD/CD-R/CD-RW/Audiobooks CD/CD-MP3 discs.

1. Gently press the "CD Door Switch" on the top of the unit to open the CD compartment.
2. Place a CD with the label side facing up onto the spindle.
3. Close the CD compartment cover firmly.
4. Press the FUN/EQ button to select "CD" mode.
5. Press the Play/Pause button to start playback.
6. Use the Previous Selection and Next Selection buttons to skip tracks.
7. Press the PROG/REP button to cycle through repeat modes (Single, All, Random).

Equalizer (EQ) Modes

Long press the FUN/EQ button to cycle through different equalizer presets:

Bluetooth Operation

Connect your Bluetooth-enabled device to the stereo system for wireless audio streaming.

1. Press the FUN/EQ button to select "Bluetooth" mode. The display will show "bt" and flash, indicating it's ready for pairing.
2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "WISCENT WTB-798" from the list. Once connected, the "bt" indicator will stop flashing.
4. You can now play audio from your device through the stereo system.

FM Radio Operation

1. Extend the FM Radio Antenna on the back of the unit for best reception.
2. Press the FUN/EQ button to select "FM Radio" mode. The display will show "RAD".
3. Automatic Scan: Long press the Play/Pause & Scan button to automatically search and store available radio stations.
4. Manual Tuning: Short press the Previous Selection or Next Selection buttons to fine-tune the frequency.
5. Preset Stations: Press the TIME SET/P+ button to cycle through stored preset stations.

USB and AUX Operation

USB Playback

Play audio files directly from a USB flash drive.

1. Insert your USB flash drive into the USB Port on the front panel.
2. Press the FUN/EQ button to select "USB" mode.
3. Playback will begin automatically. Use the Previous Selection and Next Selection buttons to navigate tracks.

AUX Input

Connect external audio devices using the 3.5mm AUX cable.

1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX cable to the AUX-in port on the front panel of the stereo system.
2. Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player).
3. Press the FUN/EQ button to select "AUX" mode.
4. Control playback and volume from your external device.

Alarm Clock Setup and Operation

The system features dual alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2) with customizable wake-up options.

Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

Ensure the unit is in standby mode (press POWER button once to enter standby mode from active play mode) before setting the alarm.

1. Long press the Previous Selection / Alarm 1 button to set Alarm 1, or long press the Next Selection / Alarm 2 button to set Alarm 2. The hour digits will flash.
2. Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust the hour. Press the corresponding Alarm button (AL1 or AL2) to confirm the hour.
3. The minute digits will flash. Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust the minute. Press the corresponding Alarm button (AL1 or AL2) to confirm the minute.
4. The display will show the alarm source options (Cd, USb, bt, bP (Beep), rAd). Rotate the VOLUME knob to select your desired alarm source. Press the corresponding Alarm button (AL1 or AL2) to confirm.
5. The display will show the alarm volume (Uxx). Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust the alarm volume. Press the corresponding Alarm button (AL1 or AL2) to confirm.
6. The alarm icon (1 or 2) will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is set.

Turning Alarms On/Off

Short press the Previous Selection / Alarm 1 button to turn Alarm 1 on or off. Short press the Next Selection / Alarm 2 button to turn Alarm 2 on or off. The corresponding alarm icon will appear or disappear from the display.

Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the VOLUME/SNOOZE knob to activate the snooze function. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after 9 minutes.

Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows the unit to play for a set duration before automatically turning off. This feature is ideal for falling asleep to music or audiobooks.

1. While the unit is playing, press the SLEEP button on the remote control repeatedly to cycle through sleep timer options (10-90 minutes).
2. The unit will automatically turn off after the selected time.

Setting the Current Time

You can set the time in either 12-hour or 24-hour format.

1. Ensure the unit is in standby mode.
2. Press the TIME SET/P+ button. The display will show "24H" or "12H".
3. Rotate the VOLUME knob to select your preferred time format (24H or 12H). Press TIME SET/P+ to confirm.
4. The hour digits will flash. Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust the hour. Press TIME SET/P+ to confirm.
5. The minute digits will flash. Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust the minute. Press TIME SET/P+ to confirm.
6. The time is now set.

Wireless Charging

The top of the unit features a wireless charging pad for compatible devices.
