3. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the washing machine from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
  2. Placement: Place the washing machine on a flat, stable surface. Ensure it is near a water source and a drain. The machine is designed for portability and can be moved easily using the integrated handles.
  3. Water Inlet Connection: Connect the provided inlet hose to a water faucet. The other end of the inlet hose connects to one of the water inlets on the top of the washing machine. There are two water inlets, one for the wash tub and one for the spin tub. The inlet hose is approximately 4 feet long.
  4. Drain Hose Setup: The drain hose is built-in and located on the bottom left of the machine. Position the drain hose to direct wastewater into a sink, bucket, or suitable drain. The drain hose is approximately 3.2 feet long. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or obstructed.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 110-120V~ 60 Hz electrical outlet. The power cord can be neatly stored using the power wire organizer on the back of the machine.

4. Operating Instructions

The COSTWAY Portable Washing Machine is designed for simple and intuitive operation with its three control knobs.

4.1. Washing Clothes

  1. Load Clothes: Open the lid of the wash tub (left side). Place your dirty clothes into the wash tub. The wash tub has a maximum capacity of 11 lbs. Avoid overloading the machine to ensure optimal cleaning performance.
  2. Add Detergent: Add a small amount of laundry detergent directly into the wash tub with the clothes. This machine requires very little detergent.
  3. Fill with Water: Use the inlet hose to fill the wash tub with water to the desired level. Close the lid once filled.
  4. Set Wash Timer: Turn the "Wash Timer" knob (leftmost knob) to set the desired washing time. The timer can be set up to 15 minutes.
  5. Select Wash Mode: Turn the "Wash Selector" knob (middle knob) to choose the wash mode:
    • Gentle: For delicate fabrics.
    • Normal: For everyday laundry.
    • Drain: To drain water from the wash tub.
  6. Start Washing: The machine will begin washing automatically once the timer and mode are set.

4.2. Spinning Clothes

  1. Transfer Clothes: After washing, transfer the wet clothes from the wash tub to the spin tub (right side). The spin tub has a maximum capacity of 6.6 lbs.
  2. Secure Clothes: Place the provided spin lid/safety cover on top of the clothes in the spin tub to prevent items from flying out during spinning.
  3. Set Spin Timer: Turn the "Spin Timer" knob (rightmost knob) to set the desired spinning time. The timer can be set up to 5 minutes.
  4. Start Spinning: The machine will begin spinning automatically. The spin cycle effectively removes excess water, leaving clothes almost dry.
