The Coleman Revolution 4-Burner Gas Grill with Side Burner (Model RV-401BBQ) is designed for outdoor cooking. It features Flare-Free Technology, a spacious cooking area, and a Convertible Valve System for propane or natural gas use (conversion kit sold separately).

Setup and Assembly
Assembly is required. Follow the detailed instructions provided in the included manual. All necessary screws are designed for assembly with a single screwdriver.
Propane Tank Connection:
- Open the cabinet doors located at the front of the grill.
- Place the propane tank securely on the designated base inside the cabinet.
- Connect the propane tank hose to the tank valve, ensuring a tight seal.
- Open the propane tank valve slowly to allow gas flow.

Natural Gas Conversion:
The grill features a Convertible Valve System. A natural gas conversion kit is sold separately. Refer to the conversion kit's instructions for proper installation and use.
Caster Wheels:
The grill is equipped with 4 caster wheels, all of which have locks. Engage the locks on all wheels to prevent the grill from moving during use or windy conditions.
Operating Instructions
Ignition:
- Ensure the propane tank valve is open.
- Open the grill lid.
- Turn one main burner control knob to the "Light" position.
- Press and hold the electronic ignition button until the burner ignites.
- Repeat for additional main burners as needed.

Side Burner Use:
- Open the side burner lid.
- Turn the side burner control knob to the "Light" position.
- Press the electronic ignition button to ignite.

Temperature Control:
Adjust burner control knobs to achieve desired cooking temperatures. The integrated temperature gauge on the lid provides an internal temperature reading. The grill heats up quickly, reaching high temperatures in less than a minute with all burners on.

The main cooking grates offer 500 square inches, suitable for up to 25 burgers. A warming rack provides an additional 180 square inches for keeping food warm or indirect cooking.
Flare-Free Technology:
The Flare-Free Technology is designed to capture and remove more grease, minimizing flare-ups and promoting evenly cooked food. This system directs fats to the removable front grease cup for easy cleanup.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Grease Management System:
Regularly check and empty the removable front grease cup. This prevents grease buildup and reduces the risk of flare-ups. The Flare-Free grates are designed with grease channels that direct fats efficiently.
Grill Grate Cleaning:
After each use, turn the burners to high for 5-10 minutes to burn off any food residue. Once cooled, use a grill brush to clean the grates.
Troubleshooting
Ignition Failure:
- Ensure propane tank valve is fully open.
- Check if the electronic ignition battery needs replacement.
- Verify gas flow to the burners.
Uneven Heating:
- Clean burners and flame tamers to ensure even gas distribution.
- Ensure the grill is level.
- Adjust burner settings to create different heat zones for various foods.
Excessive Flare-Ups:
- Clean the grease management system and empty the grease cup.
- Trim excess fat from meats before grilling.
- Reduce burner heat or move food to indirect heat zones.
