3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided charging cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status and turn off when fully charged. A full charge provides up to 6 hours of playtime.

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The speaker features an intuitive touch control panel located on the top surface. This panel allows you to manage playback, volume, and switch between different audio sources.

4.2 Bluetooth Mode

  1. Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing blue light.
  2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "PHILIPS TAS2218/94" from the list of devices.
  4. Once connected, the blue indicator light will become solid, and you can begin playing audio from your device.

4.3 USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB port on the back of the speaker.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playing the audio files.
  3. Use the playback controls on the top panel to skip tracks or pause/play.

4.4 FM Radio

  1. Press the Mode button on the control panel until you hear the FM radio.
  2. To automatically scan and save available stations, press and hold the Play/Pause button. The speaker will scan and store stations.
  3. Use the Next/Previous track buttons to navigate between saved FM stations.

4.5 Microphone Input

  1. Connect a microphone (not included) to the Mic Input port on the back of the speaker.
  2. Adjust the microphone volume using the speaker's volume controls or the microphone's own controls, if available.
  3. The microphone input can be used simultaneously with other audio sources like Bluetooth or USB for karaoke or announcements.
